You're right and wrong. You're right that it's a boxing match and Paul is younger and bigger, but you're not factoring in the level of guys he beat. You're also not factoring what happens when someone like askren who has only been ko once by a running flying knee out of ALL his fights.

What happens when Paul can't ko him and gets tired with constant pressure from askren. We know askren has mentally over come these obstacles in athletic career. Will Paul break before askren.. I think so.

We disagree on a lot of things Sherbro, but you're right here.

Paul has looked good, but against absolute trash competition.

Askren is an Olympic athlete, and combat sports world champion. And he's never been knocked out by trained killers with 4 oz gloves.

I don't see Paul knocking him out, and after 2 rounds he's going to be toast vs the much better athlete.

This is a really intriguing fight. (I don't think size should be brought up in regards to Paul because honestly I think Henry would sleep Paul)

But I'm not sure I'm super supportive of Askren doing this. I think Paul will have a harder time than he thinks when it comes to "sleeping" Askren, because I still think Askren's chin is solid.('Cause there's a big difference between anyone's punch and a perfectly placed knee) But as much as I would like to favor the MMA fighter, it's hard to here. I guess my official prediction would be Paul TKO round 4. Askren will likely come into this fight more ready for a "grind," than Jake, but it's hard to pick Ben.

tbh I will be surprised if Paul isn't 100% spent by the 4th round.

There's a big blur in my mind about this fight. Lots of question marks. I'd like to give both guys the benefit of the doubt. But yeah, that's an extreme possibility. Realistically, Paul's probably thinking he'll achieve the knockout in the first 2. And if he doesn't, it could be a long night for him.

But I'd love to see a decision. I guess I could see Askren taking that. But I have a hard time picturing this fight in my mind. Yet I do pick Paul. And there's a good possibility that THAT means you should pick Askren.

Its interesting in the way nobody really knows wtf gonna happen. A guy who's hard as nails but has the boxing of a kangaroo vs a guy who would obviously fold under minimum pressure but can hit a bit.

Kind of how I see it although I'm not so sure Jake will fold that easily. I think each guy is underestimating something about the other. Jake probably doesn't understand how tough Askren is and what it takes to accomplish what Askren has. Askren is probably underestimating Paul's power and overall ability quite a bit. We have only seen him vs bums, but his boxing passes the eye test at least for Askren boxing level competition. I'm not sure if Askren will be able to "Homer Simpson" Paul in this fight.
