Bernie doesn't do either and she's a part of his wing of the party. Of course Trump also threaten to open up libel laws to go after the press but he's Red team so he gets a pass from you.

No it proves his career was tanking and that instead of taking the generous lifeline he was offered, he behaved like a prima Donna and tanked his future prospects.

They are both populists that oppose and are opposed (or were opposed) by the center of their parties. That's basically where the comparison ends.

  • She has had some gaffes.
  • Trump is a walking gaffe.
  • She is not a policy expert on most issues, but her stances are well-thought out and generally align with popular opinion.
  • Trump is the opposite of a policy expert, and his stances (the ones he doesn't flip-flop over) are only popular with his ever shrinking base, and extremely unpopular with everyone else.
  • She is 28, and in her first political position, and though wildly unprepared to be president, she is still seven years from even qualifying to run for President.
  • Trump is 78 and his first political position was president for which he was completely unqualified for.
AOC was elected as a congress-person, and she is popular because she actually supports populist left proposals, unlike the mainstream neoliberal democrats who like things exactly the way they were under Obama.
 
Unfortunately, she’s actually less intelligent.


Trump was a guest on political shows, and a talking head for thirty years. While we are left with twilight years trump and a diminished mental capacity, I’m sure trumps comments on NK dating back decades are far more in line with reality than anything this woman has said on the matter.

he didn't act like a prima donna lol, no quarterback in the league currently under contract would have taken that offer. He was a starter for the 49ers and was offered to be a back-up and take a massive pay cut. Literally no player in history would take that offer. I mean the redskins signed Josh Johnson this year after both their starter and back-up broke their legs. Josh Johnson hasn't played in the NFL in 7 years. I don't care who you are kaepernick is better than josh johnson and wasn't offered anything lol.

long story short she's pro big government, anti second amendment, anti-ICE etc. her tax thing and climate change are also big government and bullet points for discussion, but not really likely to happen. So someone who has a lot of passion for long shots whilst agreeing with establishment dems with their immediate wishes. Basically useful idiot.

I kind of think the Trump comparison works better with Bernie actually, and I like Bernie a lot more than both Trump and AOC.

Yeah, same. Bernie is Trump if Trump was remotely honest, actually cared about the country and its citizens, wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth, had the temperament and the maturity of an adult, and wasn't a halfwit.

I meant more that he was a populist who came out of left field in 2016 despite being around for sometime. Yeah its not perfect and they are obviously different in many ways but I think its a better comparison than with AOC.

No I was being genuine - in that Sanders did key on populist concerns over wealth and economy and disenchantment with the current political system. Trump keyed in on populist concerns as well....just ones entirely fabricated, nonsensical, and based on fear of brown people.
 
She is not the wordsmith that Trump is though ts.

Nobody really cares about policies anymore. It's all identity politics and pitting POC against white people for the Dems. That's why for instance you see so many progressives saying a white person shouldn't be nominated in 2020. That's why there is such a push for Kamala Harris right now. They want to ensure they get the black and female vote.

2 out of 3 Hispanics vote Democrat every time. They come from countries that are generally socialist countries. If the Dems can up that to 80-90% of Hispanics voting for them, by using AOC, while keeping borders open they can essentially win almost any election in the foreseeable future.

I'm genuinely curious WTF is going on because I hear all sorts about how she's a dingbat who says nothing but crazy shit but I never see any good examples of this. The 70% tax rate thing is overblown and misrepresented so it's not a good example, for one. I think they're just projecting because in their world she's hot(-ish) and hot(-ish) women who are outgoing and independent aren't supposed to be smart too, just slutty.
