Exactly. Weidman is a bit slow but makes up for it with distance control. And his defense is very good, as you said.

I don't think we know enough about Weidman to really say which is what makes it an exciting fight. With GSP and Silva out of the way(at least for a while) MW and WW have become very interesting.

Vitor seems like a really bad match-up for weidman. I feel he will be faster and stronger, just too much for Weidman to handle I see Vitor getting Weidman caught against the fence similar to vitor-akiyama.

He just fought the fastest mw in the history of the ufc, please do some background on a fighter before saying stupid stuff...weidman takes it to the ground, i feel his ability to dictate where the fight goes will prove to be the biggest factor in this fight.

Based on how slow Weidman is and how good his defense is I dont see a 1 hit ko here. Weidman has never faced a true beadlst like Vitor n I think he will be schocked/forced to completely cover up in thrle first few exchanges where I can picture Vitor taking him out. If Vitor is hesitant then I can see Weidman finding a way to win.

I think Machida is the worst style match up for Weidman but Vitor is no joke and is on a serious roll.
I wouldn't bet money against him right now he seems dedicated and his time may have come..

We'll see what happen but don't forget even on a short notice Belfort was very close to finishing Jones, he actually was the closer to do it prior to Gus so he has a very good chance at Chris ( even if I think that apart from physical gifts , Weidman is a more refined fighter skillwise than Jones )

Just because you can't see it doesn't make it so. He has excellent distance control and Vitor isn't going to rush in (or he would get KOd or taken down). Weidman has shown very good defense. I think when Vitor gets aggressive I think Weidman is going to put him on his back. And he's going to be able to do it.

The beauty of weidman is he is a representation of the next gen fighter, fighters who are capable in all facets of mma dictate where the fight goes.Think gsp, jon jones, cain they all have this ability.

I dont see any other way Chris loses unless vitor hits him flush.This is Chris's fight to lose.
