I think Conor and the UFC are In the interest of making the fights the fans want to see.

To date at least, they have been.

Nobody wants to see him fight Nate a 3rd time. At least not now, In the future that will change.

People want to see him fight Khabib first and foremost. Some want to see him fight Tony but Khabib Is the most intriguing matchup and makes the most sense from all possible angles / business, etc.

Neither Conor or Diaz has a claim to the belt at this point. If they were to fight for the title, I think even casuals would give up on the UFC.
