My girlfriend of five years broke up with me the day before valentines day. I closed my Facebook the day after. Too many things on my account to remind me of her, plus not to mention that Facebook started a lot of dispute between us. She'd get all angry at me whenever she saw my friends getting engaged.
Besides that, I find that Facebook is just a platform for a lot of people to either show off or to show how stressed they are. The only meaningful thing that I really used Facebook for was to contact my friends. At least I am still able to access messenger despite closing my account.
Anyways, I have yet been enticed to return. There has been a bit of an online void since then that has mostly been filled with more time spent on Sherdog talking to you fine folks. So for you guys who have quit Facebook, how are you doing so far? Do you feel like you can appreciate things in the real world more?
