THe first season of Sex in the City was actually pretty good. Later on, it went full retard. Go back and watch the first episode or two, it was pretty good.

She looked awful in the 80s and then in 1990 she looked great. Yup, read that again. She was legit hot in LA Story (great movie BTW). She was one of the earlier hollywood chicks to become a work out addict and she had a rock hard body. For comparison go back and look at chubby Demi Moore in 1990 - that was the standard look.

SJP went downhill FAST. She should be the poster child for why not to be a chain smoker.

For what it was I actually quite enjoyed the first two episodes, and the 80s stuff wasn't overdone at all.

That's what my wife said too. She went into it just like you did; very low expectations because of how much she enjoyed Sex and the City... I was half-watching it with her and was just confused because I didn't understand some of the connections (never really watched the other show and only saw the movies)

That's what I thought too, and when I mentioned it to my wife, she went on for a few minutes about the entire history of that horse-faced character and I glazed over about 10 seconds in.

Ya'll remember that 80's show? Fox tried to strike gold from that 70's show and failed miserably. The main issue was that that 80's show tried so hard to show you the 80's. that 70's show had great characters and funny shit going on, just set in the 70's.

Yeah it was bad, I consider that 70's show one of the top sit-coms of the past years this Millenium, even though it came out in 98, it's more of 2000 show than a 90's show. but that 80's show was awful.
