They do have a c of a, it's printed on the card. You probably can't see it on the Trout I posted, but in the design it says "Topps Certified Autograph Issue."

EDIT: Actually you can see it in the top left.

Oh, gotcha. Well that makes sense.

So basically you buy these from other collectors before these guys matter and then sell them a ways down the road after your predictions have come true?

Pretty much. Of course the better you are at learning the system and scouting the more you'll make. Nothing is guaranteed though.

How did you get it? Do you ever question whether or not the person actually signed the stuff if it's part of a promotional campaign (i.e. be one of the first 250 people to buy this CD and it will come autographed)?

A friend got the Fujii and Abe Ani memorabilia from Japan himself. Some pretty ridiculously obscure stuff on top of the signed pics and clothing. Plus he has the photos of getting the stuff signed. The UFC stuff is from a viewing and signing thing the UFC did at a bar in Odessa, Tx. The Baskett jersey came from Hank Baskett's father who did some work with a family member of mine.

Got an Abel Cullum signed poster as well. He gave that to me personally.

That's all the signed memorabilia I have.

I have a hat signed by Shane Carwin

I have a photo signed by country singer Mindy Mcready who killed herself last year. She also has a sex tape.

My sister bought me an Emmit Smith rookie card signed by him for $35 a long time ago. I wonder how much it is worth now.

Mark Cuban
Marina Sirtis
There's a few others but thats the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

If you had said Marina Sirtis to me before this weekend I wouldn't have known who she was. But now I do.

If you had said Counselor Troi though, I'd have understood.

Have a lot of Sports Memorabilia. Got Yogi Berra, Ralph Kiner, Willie Randolph, Darryl Strawberry, Denny McLain, among others. Got Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani in their books.

I heard a story years ago that when Marlon Brando would pay for something by cheque, like a meal, the servers would just keep it for the signature. I believe he also used to bounce a lot of cheques...

I used to have a signed Kurt Vonnegut, but sold it. I do have a signed George R.R. Martin.

I have..
4 signed photos of Muhammad Ali with COAs'
Brian Stann
Babalu
Stan Hansen
Arn Anderson
Ricky Williams rookie card
Manami Toyota (Joshi pro-wrestling Legend)

I have a signed enson inoue picture. That's about it.

yea sorry, I'm about 6 months late with this thread. But I absolutely felt the need to share these with some actual MMA fans since many of my friends can't appreciate them due to the fact they are all NFL fans that don't watch the fights.

So yea you could say I collect autographs :P

No but i do got a Drew Bledsoe signed rookie card and a signed Alex Rodriguez baseball. Hoping the ball will still be worth something after his little fiasco

A UFC championship belt signed by both Jon Jones and Johny Hendricks

I have a medal and a shirt signed by Ulster players Andy Ward and Matt Sexton from when I was a kid. I also have a shirt that is framed with all the signaturers of the current team. Pretty cool.

Signed Ken Griffey Jr. rookie card.

I'm a true Seattleite.

I have a signed photo of Jon Jones, JDS, Bret "the hitman" Hart, Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Gray Maynard and Duane "Bang" Ludwig ... all stashed away somewhere in my mum's loft.

I have Steve Young on a football card from when I was a student and he and other Pro Bowl players practiced at the University field. Also got Jerry Rice. Weird thing is he wrote his "J" like a Japanese multi-stroke character instead of normal smooth "J".

I have Rampage Jackson on probably a mini poster and don't remember for sure what it was or where it is. He did a autograph signing at a MMA shorts store. This was way before UFC trading cards existed.

The autographed ones are. I sold an Anderson Silva auto for about $50 a couple of years back. I got lucky and pulled that out of one box that I bought.
I'm guessing you can't even buy a box for $50 these days.

Are you sitting on tons of Elly De La Cruz autos?

I'm guessing you can't. I haven't been buying cards for at least two years now. I think a regular hobby box of Topps baseball is at least $80 now.

No De La Cruz autos. I sold off about 80 percent of my stuff a while ago. I might get back into cards eventually. I still have my Colts collection and saved some of my better vintage collection but that's it. It had just gotten so stupid during the pandemic because of the excess liquidity in the market. I got tired of paying overinflated prices for wax. It just wasn't worth the ROI unless you flipped unopened boxes or cases but that takes several years to increase in value. Even if I do get back into it, I'll probably still only buy singles.

I have been throwing around the idea of getting my vintage graded though. But even grading has gotten expensive.

Damn. A lotta nerd stuff there lol.

I don’t collect signatures yet have 6 signed items from the Soska Sisters/Twisted Twins lmao. 5 are photos, 1 is their graphic novel that I won.

I think it’s kinda stupid tbh yet here we are.

No autograph but I once met Matt Hughes
