This. Waiting too long was my big mistake.Don't wait that long. I know I did damage to other areas as a result of putting it off.

I think I overcompensated on my knees, I gave the hip burden to them. They're fine now but I do think 10 years down the line it may come back to bite me. But I'm still a fuckton better off than I was 3 years ago when I started getting my hips sorted.This. Waiting too long was my big mistake.

Sounds like what I said. Then things went bad pretty fast. I can send you a couple of scary x-rays if that helps.Been putting it off, got a few more cards to play first so fingers crossed![]()
Yikes dude, sorry to hear. I already got some scary MRIs. Hope you’re ok now.Sounds like what I said. Then things went bad pretty fast. I can send you a couple of scary x-rays if that helps.
Thank you. Doing great now. The surgery was life changing (legit - no hyperbole). But I would have saved a lot of lost time and had significantly less pain had I followed advice and acted sooner instead of trying to put it off.Yikes dude, sorry to hear. What did you have done, if you don’t mind my asking?Thank you. Doing great now. The surgery was life changing (legit - no hyperbole). But I would have saved a lot of lost time and had significantly less pain had I followed advice and acted sooner instead of trying to put it off.
Hip replacement. I will need the other one done at some point, too. My joints have a lot of miles on them from too many years of contact sports. For the most part, pain is an everyday thing, but is manageable as long as I keep the inflammation down (eat right) and stay out of the weight room. What did you have done, if you don’t mind my asking?
Glad it’s mostly under control. Can relate, it’s a challenge not to overdo it and set yourself back with extra pain and swelling.Hip replacement. I will need the other one done at some point, too. Yes, exactly. There is a price to pay if I overdo it, but that's what ice packs and work from home days are for.Glad it’s mostly under control. Can relate, it’s a challenge not to overdo it and set yourself back with extra pain and swelling.
- Tried TB500?I am dealing with an impingement now, I know it's because I was still doing heavy military presses. Those days are over. Now I do standing Shoulder presses with a 70lb barbell and that's plenty. I would try these new therapies for sure. Why not?
Ah damn. So waiting a couple more months then for PRP?As an update... had an ultrasound on both shoulders and then saw the specialist yesterday... good news and bad news.
Bad - both infraspinatus tendons in my shoulders are torn.
Good - probably not bad enough to require surgery... and nothing else, appears to be badly fucked up, besides decades of wear from doing stupid shit.
He said he could do PRP... but if it was him, he'd just stop doing anything that hurts with them for a couple of more months and see if they come good. If not, come back and try PRP.
Apparently tears like this can take up to 6 months to come good... oh well, shit /shrugs
Yeah, will see how it goes. If it heals, great, if not I'll go back and get PRP.Ah damn. So waiting a couple more months then for PRP?

I'll get my fat ass back to exercising and hope for the best...
Also, thank for the heads-up on Sabaton... I would have totally missed that otherwise.
