Food & Drink Anyone get messed up when taking caffeine?

Caffeine doesn't even give me that much of a boost, and the boost only lasts like 45 min. It gives me a headache, a want-to-throw up taste in my mouth, the sugary drinks it comes in gives me heartburn, and it hurts my stomach/ass. Also, when the crash comes I end up having to take a nap at an inconvenient time for my schedule. If I drink it past the afternoon I will not sleep.

I usually avoid it but if Im nodding off at work I might drink a coffee or a Mt Dew. I do love the feeling of mixing caffeine with alcohol and/or weed though.
 
It messes me up if I take in caffeine in the afternoon. I get zero sleep. I think the cut off time for me is before noon. Any time after that and I will not be able to sleep that night.
I try not to mess with it at all but if I do it's before 11am.
 
Caffeine recently has strangely started giving me anxiety. I can only have decaf now .

maybe not so strange, aging seems to effect a lot of things for me, one has been too much caffeine.

I get messed up when I don't have caffeine. The headaches are insane.

Yes I'm super sensitive to it, it makes my already EXTREME insomnia even worse. But every time I try to stop I just end up drinking even more.

Caffeine is a socially acceptable drug, but it's still and drug, and people often underestimate how potent it really is.
 
Yeah I get wicked, wicked headaches when I stop.
I did a caffeine fast a few years ago. I went a whole month with nothing including chocolate, tea, anything that had it.

The key was a ton of water, motrin and stay active. Went away after a couple days.

After a month, went head first back to caffeine lol
 
I jad 3 Celcius drinks one morning .over 3 hours ..... Instead of just coffee and thought my heart would explode
 
I took a scoop of 300 mg caffeine pre workout and feel like having a nap 30 minutes later.
 
I used to drink Monster Khaotic, Pacific Punch and the Fruit Punch a few years back for break.

They didn't taste bad at all.

They didn't really affect me though. I just liked them, especially on a hot summers day working outside. Then again, I only had one and drank water for the rest of it...

ive been having this issue lately myself. i drink my morning coffee then feel jittery, my heart a little more active, and anxious about having to leave the house. its no good on days that i work because sometimes i go straight to timmies and get an iced coffee to put right on top of the hot coffee i just had at home.

ive never been known to make my life easier with my decision making lol.

I dont know how that shit works but on my moms side of the family it would get to like 10 o'clock at night at a family function and time to brew up a pot before bed. I was and still like WTF.
I guess if it’s a lifelong thing…
 
I think so too, I think I drink too much and it makes it useless. Still, I don't drink nearly as much as I used to so I think a part of it is just getting older and flatter. Same reason workouts are more sluggish.
Coffee drinkers aren’t usually athletes you have to cycle off it to be more effective as well , it’s a very powerful stimulant I know ppl who drink non stop with just 4 hours of beak morning until night these ppl aren’t very smart and have ulcers ,stomach issues etc etc , I don’t even consume caffeine everyday I save it when I train on hard days , if your getting tired drinking it that means it’s over riding your nervous system bc your drinking to much and you need more to get that stimulating effect again which is not good .



Best way is have your strongest cup In morning then every 6 hours mild ones if your going to drink it all day and so forth depending on tolerance etc etc .I almost always try and have a 20/24 hr period bf drinking caffeine again let the body reset .
