Anybody else shave their legs?

haha, just yesterday she said i should come get a wax with her next time she goes.
I can tell you now it doesn't hurt.
It just feels like you've been slapped then the pain goes.

My sister-in-law was a beautician so I got the be the practice dummy.
I drew the line at ball-waxing though lol.

I had my chest waxed once in a similar situation, when a friend needed to practice. I really couldn't see what all the fuss was about.

Why...did she offer ?

I only shave my legs when I run out of hair on my arms to test a newly sharpened knife edge on.

Shaving your legs because the pads pull your hair out = ok
Shaving your hair because you noticed the other people in class have legs smooth as a babys ass= gay

Yeah I gotta keep it short or my coach won't let me train...my leg hair is made of titanium razorwire so I tear up the bags if I don't shave :icon_chee.

I'll shave them. I just like the feel of hairless legs and how it accentuates my calf muscle (no homo).

I think it's a personal thing. Some guys who train striking and/ or grappling prefer not having the hair.

I myself don't care either way. I have pretty hairy legs/ arms, but it's never bothered me so far. I was also a lifeguard and a few of my guy coworkers shaved their body hair to reduce drag for swimming.

Just seems like a lot of effort to me, but to each their own

It seems like it makes sense but everyone I train with has already commented on my hairy legs (mainly because it's one of the reasons I look older than I am) so it would be a worry to shave them and come in and get bollocked for an hour and a half.

Well i wear pretty high socks which tends to leave a thick and senstive ring of coiled hair at the lower part of my shin. It doesn't hurt when i hit the pads much but when i grapple and our legs rub it KILLS. I'm only 15 so i don't really wanna shave it and look like the kid with the least hair.yeh i know it's stupid lol.

So, are you doing it for practical reasons or because you think it looks better? To me it looks a bit strange for a guy to have silky smooth legs, I mean you're supposed to have a little, right? I never noticed my leg hair really obstructing my training in anyway.

I've always wondered why the hell so many fighters seem to shave their legs and chest...

I guess it's painful to have it getting pulled on (by friction from the mat) all the time during grappling? Makes you sweat more? More traction for guys to get arm/ leg locks (in no- gi)?

I don't do it myself, but some people swear by it (War Machine mentioned it in his prison blog)
