Any update on Giorgio Petrosyan?

So he's had tough fights and a couple of losses, doesn't make him overrated. He's still the best 70kg champ k1 rules has seen, nobody has done what he has.
No one has a bigger impact in k1 than buakaw everyone was on top of there game.. petro. 8 years to late.. everyone near the end of there career..

You could say the same shit in reverse for guys like Khem, Suds, and other Nakmuay that took a stab at Kickboxing when their styles are more suited for Muay Thai.

Difference is though that Petro styles himself as an MT fighter in KB he comes to the ring with a mongkon, now as much as i like petro and watching him fight it still bugs me that he wont fight FMT.

But not that many fights. In six years.. plus won't fight FMT 2 k1 tiles easy pickings against old circuit fighters .. kem & Sudsakorn not FMT

Old circuit fighters? Souwer was 27 for gods sake, in his prime. Same with Kraus at 29. Then beats them both again a year later.

And so what if he beat Kem and Sud under Kickboxing rules, they agreed too it, a loss is a loss. He loses to Nonthanon under MT and you shit on him for it, he draws with Buakaw under MT again you do the same, but he beats two good Thais under Kickboxing where he's the strongest and yet you say they aren't legit wins because of it. You're just biased.

Does he really style himself as a Nak Muay? He certainly doesn't fight like one. He fights more like Rigo than Saenchai. He's quicker to evade and then counter with punches than kicks. I'd say his mongkol is meant more as a sign that he came from Muay Thai as a part of his training history than to say that he's an actual Nak Muay through and through.

Because they all fight the same!!!!

Saenchai, Petboonchu, Sam-A, Pornsaneh, Mondam, Wanchai or Superbank. Which one is a Nak Muay?

Didn't say they all fight the exact same. They're all Nak Muay.

Giorgio fights more like a slick Boxer than what you'd expect from a Nak Muay. His style isn't as kick or knee heavy. Which of them counter punch as often as Giorgio does?

Buakaw fight was k1 rules

I wouldn't call him a nakmuay but I always thought that his rhythm, use of kicks/knees, focus on making every shot count made him closer to the Thais than to the the current batch of euro kickboxers. Just compare Gevorg vs Khem to Gevorg vs RVR.

Didn't know 2004 and 2009 were 8 years a part. I guess I should stop drinking.

I agree. He certainly has a Thai rhythm.

he still sulking over being knocked out.. blaming his hand same as he blaming the water in the Thailand.... Fighting genius don't think so.. over rated yes

Petro is the man. Technicality at its finest, despite the loss

idk if he's training consistently, he constantly posts pics on FB chilling with dogs, at restaurants lol

Kickboxing was in a major slump during that time. Having fought in K-1 not fun to go down from that. Maybe he prefers kickboxing, why should he fight in other rules? 2 different sports, he isn't competing in MMAeither, must be ducking the competition omfg.

Maybe because the show he fought Suds on was called "Thai Boxe Mania" and basically every other fight on the card was FMT?

How is that Petros problem? That is 100% on the promotor. Glory could put on a boxing match on their card, wouldn't be the fault of the 2 boxers. It'd be dumbfuck by Glory.

Sore loser maybe, and maybe one should be when one aims at being the absolute number one..Fighting genius? Most defenitely so. Petrosyan has an almost perfect fightrecord..name me one fighter that put it on the line in the most competetive division like he did and emerged with 2 losses and draw.

It wasn't the promotor that chose the rules it was Petrosyan's camp...
