When Woodley started a while back whining about how the UFC never promotes and doesn't like Black Champions it kind of ticket me off. All I could think about was Anderson Silva and Jon Jones, both being Champions that were very promoted and big UFC stars. Not because they were black but because they were great fighters people wanted to see. They finished fights and we're very exciting. Maybe Woodley does believe what he says, if he does the best thing he could do is just fight, show in the cage he is a great athlete and fans will grow. Actions speak louder than words. Ali spoke about race, but it was in a much different time than now and was standing up for all black peoples equal rights, religion and the Vietnam war. Yet he Never spoke about himself or other fighters he'd face as there would be respect in the ring. Ali was and did great things as far as race relations and equal rights go around the globe. Woodley will never be like that as he is trolling any using the race card to promote himself. That I do find very wrong.
One note: I met Woodley in the MGM Grand the weekend he KOd Koschek. I congratulated him on a great win and put my hand out to shake his hand. He kinda looked at me then down at my extended hand and put his hands behind his back.. At the time I thought ok some people don't like to shake hands, have germaphobe issues or whatever. Now I'm finding myself questioning his actions the more and more he speaks.
