It's a sign of the times.

I've used a VPN service for years, but lately I'm noticing that a huge number of websites, elements, browser applications, etc won't load or will function inconsistently while my VPN is on (Amazon, Google Pay, basically all Cloudflare protected sites, among others).

This is to say nothing of needing to complete a series of twenty-nine million Captcha things every time I access certain sites, which are too small and grainy to be easily seen and often have ambiguous cases. Sometimes a few pixels of the item in question counts as a square to be selected and sometimes it won't, and so forth.

I'm sure there's a bunch of technical excuses, but I don't accept them because all of this shit used to work fine, fuck them. I assume it's some loose conspiracy to persecute VPN users and punish them for attempting to have privacy.

Try a different server on your VPN. The reason why it asks you to enter Captcha all the time is because there are too many people trying to access the website you're trying to visit with the same IP.

I used to have a VPN and it would constantly ask me if i'm a robot and ended up switching to another VPN. You don't get this problem with the more expensive VPN's like ExpressVPN. At least I never encountered it while using Express VPN.

Don't have this problem with Surf Shark. The sites just tell me that they use cookies and to pick accept.

I'll take that into consideration when my subscription to PIA comes up for renewal. I understand the technical justifications for all the hassles and bullshit, but like I said I don't care because it used to work with no hassle so fuck them.

This also still doesn't explain why Amazon et al. won't load properly, or sometimes at all.

I am positive tons of spyware/malware/misc hacking is run through VPN's which fucks it up for everyone else

One can’t coherently evoke the Kacz while bellyaching about the poor functionality of their VPN

Try another VPN once your subscription is up. The problem is 100% your VPN.

I recently did a lot of research on VPN and test drove a bunch. I came up with (probably what most people did) ExpressVPN, NordVPN, or SurfShark. I went with Nord but any of those major players seem to be pretty good. Cyber Ghost may be OK. I hear PIA is just OK as well.

PIA has been having this problem lately, can't use amazon, or even browse google images with it on.

I thought NordVPN had some big privacy scandal last year?

Being anonymous on the internet is the enemy of big tech companies.
