Smith is good and i hope he keeps winning but come one man, let him first win a title, defend couple of times... then you can start comparing him to Jones.

His reach is actually comically small for a guy his height. I think it's only 76 which is the same reach as some LW and WW fighters.

It became shittier after Stringer got killed.
Yes, he is tall, muscular, KO power, good fight IQ, he has a strong mental game.
But his last 3 wins were all top fighters in the past who should retire. Especially Rashad.
The man has many losses in the past, he was TKOed many times, clearly he has become better and better.
But how would he manage against Gus or Latifi or Reyes?
Not against semi-retired fighters.

Wow people will hype anyone after one impressive finish these days.
Shogun is a old,weak, undersized 205lb fighter. He should have never fought at 205lbs in the UFC. In Pride he was free to take PEDs at his free will. He lost 15lbs of muscle and replaced it with fat within a year of leaving Pride.
Injuries aside, had he actually cut the flab and made himself a home at 185, he would have had a better career in the UFC. Sure he briefly held the title and that speaks to his talent but a young Smith in his prime beating a shot fighter is no litmus test for comparisons to Jones or Rumble.
Even without all the PED's I'd favor Jones at this time vs Smith, and Smith is hittable which means I really favor Rumble vs Smith.
In another 2 fights or so, lets check back in and see where Smith is at. He has some good base skills, size, length, and better power at 205 than he did when he was cutting. But Shogun is a slow, stationary target who cant even kick anymore and has average hands.
