fury is just overrated. Joshua would have an easy time with Wilder and fairly easy time with Fury imo.
Why the fuck would any relevant boxer agree to fight him in MMA?
Copy-cat.Dana could also spit on DC’s head and he’d say he’s thankful for rain.
I'm not Croatian.. I agree that many people say it was controversal..that doesn't change the fact that it was a clear win and the judges scored an UD...I'm not the one to be taking serious?!you are talking like a troll...I'm the one talking about the fight all the time....listen pure maths.. Zhang had scored one knockdown..so he needed 6 rounds to win.... in wich universe could you score more than 5 rounds to Zhang in that fight!??...seems you only watched the highlights.. I mean Hrgović looked awful in a couple of rounds..like really awful..but that's it.. he lost those rounds...but won almost all the other rounds CLEARLY even if the fight was boring.., look at the stats they are too overwhelming in favour of Hrgovic...no judge would score that fight to Zhang...
Seems obvious now. I think the attempt at boxing overall was expecting to lose just for the money grab with a very outside "but what if" puncher's chance, but going the distance with Fury for sure gave him some false confidence, and he really thought he was going to win this one. He obviously convince quite a few people, because Joshua was only a -340 favorite, where Tyson Fury was a -1400 favorite. He's never been KO, dropped or even that badly rocked before, so he probably thought at worst he might get punched up and never lands a big shot and just loses a decision. I don't think many predicted that a huge guy with a granite chin would just get completely mowed down and KO'd that quickly.
10m is now stage prop wages? lolNo, he did not. He got paid stage prop wages vs Fury. He got a little more than that vs Joshua but Frank dropped the bag and now even his most ardent jock sniffers realize that Frank can’t box.
Yeah I would take the 20mThey wouldn't, that's the point.
But his legend wouldn't have got spoiled long term. He made 20 million in the short term, but he's forever gonna be known now as the guy who fucked around and found out.
That's what happens when your dance partner doesn't carry you.
Of course they can...but this wasn't the case...Zhang gave up too many rounds..didn't had the cardio...The first sentence negates the second. Amazing that you can't concede that. Boxing judges fuck up all the time.
Who's 40+ yo? Francis is 37He's 40+ yo, bet on himself and made a shit load of money. He should just take one or two MMA fights and retire.
Absolute legend.
Let him spend a year in Dagestan. Then let him come to mma and watch Jon Jones or Tom Aspinall strangle him.Yea! Surprisingly.
But when they squared up, AJ made him look like a child.
You forget how incredible some of these boxers really are in terms of their physique. AJ looks like he was made in a lab. That 80" reach too.
I feel like he would be a prime candidate for the first superstar boxer to crossover into MMA. He has all the tools to do it. Just needs to spend a year in dagestan <45>
Who are these boxers that can take those punches? Most of Joshua's opponents have suffered the same fate and that is despite the fact that they fought scared and defensively. Plus Joshua is arguably the heaviest hitter in the sport. There is levels between boxer & MMA fighter. MMA fighters can't take punch like boxers do.
Lol, but no, do you think Jones makes what Ngannou (willingly) made in his UFC fights? and even then, Ngannou made a few million fighting for the UFC...do you really believe that both of them, combined, didnt made 10million? half of the alleged 20million purse...no one in the UFC made or will ever make 20million in a single fight, not sure if Conor vs Khabib did that for each of them, but i doubt it, but they surely have made close to the 10 million he got vs Fury, quit exaggerating comparisons when talking about purses, they made very good money for themselves. Why would they be doing 'victory laps'?
He's the reigning, undisputed Lineal UFC HW champion still, and he earned double in this one fight than Jones and Cormier have earned in their entire careers.
