Zhang had scored one knockdown..so he needed 6 rounds to win.... in wich universe could you score more than 5 rounds to Zhang in that fight!??...seems you only watched the highlights.. Seems obvious now. I think the attempt at boxing overall was expecting to lose just for the money grab with a very outside "but what if" puncher's chance, but going the distance with Fury for sure gave him some false confidence, and he really thought he was going to win this one. He obviously convince quite a few people, because Joshua was only a -340 favorite, where Tyson Fury was a -1400 favorite. He's never been KO, dropped or even that badly rocked before, so he probably thought at worst he might get punched up and never lands a big shot and just loses a decision. I don't think many predicted that a huge guy with a granite chin would just get completely mowed down and KO'd that quickly.

I didn't either. Well, I did think it could have ended that way eventually after he took a long beating where he already got hurt several times. What I didn't expect was the first knockdown. That a punch like that would floor him and hurt him but also destroy his confidence.

There is levels between boxer & MMA fighter. MMA fighters can't take punch like boxers do.

Who are these boxers that can take those punches? Most of Joshua's opponents have suffered the same fate and that is despite the fact that they fought scared and defensively. Plus Joshua is arguably the heaviest hitter in the sport.

Lol, but no, do you think Jones makes what Ngannou (willingly) made in his UFC fights? and even then, Ngannou made a few million fighting for the UFC...do you really believe that both of them, combined, didnt made 10million? half of the alleged 20million purse...no one in the UFC made or will ever make 20million in a single fight, not sure if Conor vs Khabib did that for each of them, but i doubt it, but they surely have made close to the 10 million he got vs Fury, quit exaggerating comparisons when talking about purses, they made very good money for themselves.
