*** Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou Aftermath Discussion MEGA THREAD ***

No, he did not. He got paid stage prop wages vs Fury. He got a little more than that vs Joshua but Frank dropped the bag and now even his most ardent jock sniffers realize that Frank can’t box.

He was reportedly paid 20 million for his fight against Joshua.. so yes he made more money in that fight alone, not counting his fury purse lol

This is the outcome it should have been with Fury also.

In the case of Joshua, he was throwing straight, crisp, snappy, solid punches ... whereas (when Ngannou astually threw at all) Francis' punches were wide and sloppy.

Moreover, Joshua's stance was tight and proper, while Ngannou's hands were low, and his elbows wide out.

Pro vs. amateur hour is what the fight was, with two behemoths.

Not really sure what happened with Tyson Fury, if it was a "carry," or of Tyson just had a bad night, but the Joshua fight is what should happen when any amateur faces a top-level boxing professional.

Especially one who can punch.

He looked terrible. I did like how he said something like “even if I changed, the result would have probably been the same.” That’s owning your sh*t. I don’t recall ever hearing another fighter ever say that….

Go back to the first round of the Fury fight and you can see that Tyson rushed him right at the start of the round. I really think that he thought he was going to blow him out in the first and that it would be easy. On top of that it looked like he didn't train because he didn't think he needed to. He underestimated his opponent, badly. Joshua on the other hand was deadly serious, in fantastic shape, and took his time to set up his shots. He had a healthy fear of Ngannou and also had the benefit of being able to study the previous fight.

With all that said, the Usyk fight should tell us whether or not Tyson might just be over the hill as well.

No 10 count after the second knock down?
<JerryWWF>

I hate this shit where they immediately stop it. I don't care if his toes are curled and he looks dead. Give the man a damn 10 count.

At that point it would have been like counting his soul leaving his body.
