News Anthony Johnson explains his exit from the UFC

Meh... Typical polite bs. Half of it is true. But they didn't pay him what he thought he was worth. Now they're cutting clear top guys like Romero who are expensive and will derail the $5k/$5k Scrubs they're signing. UFC is a entertainment business and nothing more. Don't know why guys keep thinking it's a sport. If Romero and Rumble are top 5 they're top 5. Doesn't matter if they have 1 or 10 fights left. Until they're no longer top 5 they should still be in the UFC. But nah, they have to save $$$ to bring in Jake Paul.

Also, I'm not saying Rumble is top 5 right now since he hasn't fought before anyone tries to be a smartass. But we all know here he's probably still one of the best and deserves at least one chance to prove it.

Anyway, I really hope Bellator can grow to Strikeforce levels at least.

These Contender Series signings are going to be pushed down people's throats as the best in the world and the clueless will believe it. Should be hilarious.

From contracts and contract law? Look, I’ve given you information. Believe it or not. Do research to confirm if you wish. I’m not going to bother searching for links at the moment.
Until you reference your claim it's bullshit.

Yeah, Jan is know for his wrestling and his rear naked choke.
You dont need to be known for it,you just gotta know how do it. Vitor did it.

No reference no argument.
Are you aware when a ufc fighters contract expires, they first have an exclusivity period where they can only negotiate with the ufc? Only after that period ends, they then become eligible to pursue offers from other orgs. Look into it. With cyborg, they waived the exclusivity period and allowed her to negotiate with other orgs right away. Otherwise, she couldn’t. And that’s after the contract is over.

Are you aware that fighters can find out what other organisations are willing to pay them.

People complain about Moose Sassy being let go, but it seemed like it was mutual.

he might not be able to know if he had traces of substances that take sophisticated testing to detect.
None of that would prevent him from competing when the drugs are out of his system. It sounds like his reason for leaving is money related and not an USADA issue. That is my point.

The only recent AJ performances that stunk were both against DC. Other than that, he was exciting. Seems like UFC really getting cheap with the payroll.

They want young guys who will fight for pennies from that terrible reality show.

they don’t want well paid mma veterans. They want striking battles with idiots with Mohawks.

It’s fine if this continues. It will build up mma outside of the UFC.
Rumble is turning 37 and coming off a long layoff, he is gonna get his ass kicked. Good move by dana.

Was hoping to see AJ against guys like Reyes, Jiri, and Rakic. But I'm happy to see him fight Romero and Nemkov too.
