Anthony Hernandez NEEDS To Fight For MW Title

Thats 8 in a row with 6 stoppages. Dolidze has 12 UFC fights and this is the first time he got stopped, and it was an absolute mollywhopping.

Fluffy is clearly an elite middleweight right now. His next fight is a title eliminator, and he's a title backup if someone is injured.
You called it earlier today actually.. Hernandez is an animal, nobody wants that fight and Dol might be old but the size difference was blowing my mind. Honestly I don't think Hernandez cares if he fights another guy before a title shot, I don't think anything RDR, Imavov or Caio have done are "levels" above what this guy can do. He is 100% in the mix and if anything as earned his spot more than most.

Dog walked competition? The best dude he fought was gatekeeper Brendan Allen and he barely squeaked by that fight lol. Took a lot of damage and got his back taken multiple times. Looked very beatable.

Again, this is all relative to competition, nobody’s seen him fight an actual championship caliber contender yet. We now get to see that.

Beating a gimmick like Dolidze who only fights other middle of the pack guys isn’t gonna skip him over the line of proven talent.
Allen isn't that bad, Imavov beat him by decision and got Izzy as a reward and looked better against Izzy than Allen. Allen attempted to rebound that Imavov loss against Fluffy and lost a 3 rounder, he was lucky it was only 3 rounds. Imavov also scrapped by Roman Dolidze with a majority decision last year :) so I guess Imavov is middle of the pack since he fought Roman. Caio is also another potentially untested guy having KOed Paul mother fuckin Craig and then won a decision against an old Jarred Cannonier, the same Cannonier who was stopped controversially in the fourth against Imavov. Considering no one has ever done that to Roman in his career including Mr highly touted Imavov, I think rates Fluffy pretty damn high. But hey the guy on an 8 fight win streak is behind the guys who are 2-2 or 1-3 in the last 4 years, mind-blowing right?

Put him against Cannonier/MVP winner or Costa next.

He looked impressive no doubt, but he isn't near a title shot with wins over Dolidze & Allen. Plus he's behind Imavov, Caio, & RDR.

Fuck that, he doesn't jump the line to a title shot but he damn sure should to a #1 contender fight vs RDR.

That's why the "rankings" are so often bullshit. Rank squatters and the morons who contruct the rankings pinush guys like Fluffy who accept all fights offered. The guy has won 8 in a row with 6 finishes. And people are like "Yeah but hasn't even beaten a top 5 guy yet!" Well fuck...think maybe it shouldn't take EIGHT straight wins to be OFFERED a top contender when you're literally melting dudes with the best cardio in MMA alongside Merab?

Give the guy RDR and we'll see something similar to what we saw tonight most likely. And then give the guy the damn title shot.

Possibly. But first thing is first, Imavov/Caio is gonna get the next crack at the title. & Hernandez definitely has a case for being in the mix at the top of 185, but you gotta remember that Cannonier/MVP winner is in the title mix with RDR as well. & let's not forget that Izzy, Strickland, & DDP/Chimaev loser will always be in the mix of things while the division is being sorted out.

I think fluffy will fight for a ts at some point, but needs to fight and beat a top 5 guy first. Strickland would have been a great test, but he fucked up and got suspended. I guess rdr is the right choice , but sounds like he might wait for winner next week of title. So I’m not sure then. I doubt Izzy wants to fight fluffy as he’d need to get his wrestling shoes on. They won’t give him Caio as ut would be up coming prospect vs upcoming prospect. I guess Whittaker might work but fluffy probably blows by him at this point.

Izzy is not in the mix at all. You're greatly overplaying his name value. He's way down and there are too many exciting matchups the UFC would want to push to randomly book Israel for a title shot.

I'm not saying Izzy would be in line for a title shot. I'm saying him, Strickland, & DDP/Chimaev loser will be in the mix at the top of 185 . Izzy's role right now is nothing more than MW gatekeeper obviously.

Yes Caio/Imavov winner next, zero issue with that. Put Fluffy/RDR as co-main on that card BUT figure out a way (IDK do a middleweight BMF belt or something whatever) to make it 5 rounds. 4 man mini tournament.
Cannonier, MVP, Izzy, Strickland...they can all fight each other or wait. If Fluffy does to RDR what he did tonight (likely imo), let's find out of we have a middleweight Merab or not. A guy who's weaponized cardio negates almost everything that his opponents bring to the cage.

I wouldn't be mad at RDR vs Hernandez next to see who is after the Imavov/Caio winner. But I wouldn't be surprised if he gets matched up against Izzy, Costa, or Cannonier/MVP winner next.

Who else has dominated and finished Dolidze like that?

I bet if he wore glasses with tape on them and called himself a nerd you'd think he was the champ in waiting.
I actually think the Fighting Nerds might be assholes, sticking nerds in their names doesn't make them nice guys

Lol Paulo just beat Kopylov by decision, Fluffy finished him 4 fights ago. FFS the man deserves a #1 contender fight. RDR vs Fluffy is perfect in DEC/JAN
Your reasoning isn't flawed, but you gotta remember that Imavov got into the title mix by beating Izzy. Caio by beating Cannonier. Chimaev & RDR beating Whittaker. Most of the time guys get in line for a title shot by beating big names. Hernandez is coming off of wins against Dolidze & Allen. Those names don't back the hype for Anthony getting a title shot unfortunately.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a top fighter broken like that.

Fluffy had him in his pocket half way into the 2nd.

Wonder if Dolz had a bad weight cut. Geeze
Dolidze was never very good and always gasses, one of the worst ranked male fighters on the roster. He's had 1 solid performance against Hermanson and that's it. Fluffy is solid though and deserves a top 5/marquee guy next.

Lmao he would get rekt by anyone in the top 5

Infinite cardio + sloppy grappling and average boxing

Dolidze was squashed by the pressure
