I loved The First Avenger as well as Thor 1. I think Kenneth Branaugh should get another movie.

Same here. Cap 1 probably has more heart than any other Marvel movie. When Cap's plane goes down and Agent Carter looks at his file and sees the pic of Skinny Steve, I felt feels. And I enjoyed the 1940's era style and look of it. If anything brought that movie down it was Red Skull.

And Thor 1 is still one of my favorite marvel studio movies. No idea why people don't like it more. It's one of those I'll stop and watch every time I see it on.

The first Cap movie is similar to Batman Begins, they're not just great superhero films, they're great films in their own right. The two Captain America films are easily the best Marvel has put out and the third looks to continue that trend.

I thought both Thor's were absolute dogshit.

Ant-Man was pretty fun, wasn't expecting much and was thoroughly entertained.

Finally watched this. Overall I thought it was really good. Good pacing, funny (not too corny), good action... really had everything. Wish we got to see more of YellowJacket but that's whatever. When I heard about this movie I thought it would be mediocre then the trailers looked good but I didn't watch it until now.

I thought it had lots of imaginative scenes. A smart flick as far as physics and action sequences, not a smart flick as far as most of the dialog. That's perfect for me because I feel most people talk too much any ways. I gave it a ten.

Michael Peña Confirmed to Return for ANT-MAN AND THE WASP

Michael-Pena-Ant-Man-and-Wasp-Dragonlord.jpg

While the saga of Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man had its many ups and downs, when the finished film came around there was at least one big delightful surprise to be found:Michael Peña.

The actor was cast before writer/director Edgar Wright left the project, and his character Luis ended up being the scene-stealer of the film with a charismatic goofiness in high quantity. So it should come as welcome news, then, that Peña has been confirmed to be returning for the sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp.

THR reports that Peña has signed on to star in Columbia Pictures’ horror thriller The Bringing, which was inspired by the true story of a woman who was found dead in a water tank on the roof of the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles, with security footage of the woman’s odd behavior going viral. The film revolves around a man investigating a woman’s death in the notorious hotel, and Peña has secured that lead role.

This was pretty low on my watchlist, so didn't get around to it until today.
Much better than I expected, if I were to give it a score I'd probably say low 7-ish. Some great scenes, if reminiscent of Honey I Shrunk The Kids. Real absurdist end fight too.
Suffered from an afterthought villain, like almost all Marvel movies. And Evangeline Lilly looked pretty haggard. She offends me by not looking her best when starring in a movie I watch for my pleasure. Wasn't much spark between her and Rudd, not that I care about that soppy romantic stuff (ok, so I kinda do).

Pena has the chops to be a leading man in movies -- his timing is spot on for comedic roles and he's believable in parts that require gritty street sense

Still a solid movie. If it's on, I watch it. Appreciate it even more after his cameo in Civil War.

KILLJOYS Star Hannah John-Kamen Joins ANT-MAN AND THE WASP

In the first major casting in the upcoming sequel to Ant-Man, Marvel has tapped Hannah John-Kamen for a new role in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Paul Rudd is returning in the title role with Evangeline Lilly coming back as Hope van Dyne a.k.a. the Wasp. Michael Douglas and Michael Pena are also expected to reprise their roles from the original.

Peyton Reed, who helmed the first pic, is back in the director’s chair with Rudd and Gabriel Ferrari penning the script. Kevin Feige is producing.

The plot is being kept under wraps, as are details about who John-Kamen will be playing. Marvel had been meeting with actresses over the past month before finally being won over by the rising star. The sequel bows on July 6, 2018.

The original film grossed $519 million worldwide including $180 million domestically. Rudd most recently reprised the role in Captain America: Civil War.

John-Kamen comes from the TV world, having appeared in such popular shows as Black Mirror, Game of Thrones, and, most recently, the Syfy series Killjoys. She also caught the eye of Steven Spielberg, who cast her in a lead role in Ready Player One. She also recently wrapped production on the Tomb Raider reboot with Alicia Vikander.

ANT-MAN is one of the better MCU films in my book, but I really wanted to see the Edgar Wright version.

Every Pena scene was the low point of the Antman movie. I don't know why people like his scenes so much.

They should've just replaced his scenes with sexy shots of Evangeline Lily.

Fresh Off the Boat star Randall Park is set to play S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Jimmy Woo in Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, the Tracking Board has exclusively learned.

Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly will return to play the title characters, and they’ll be joined by Black Mirror actress Hannah John-Kamen, whose role remains a mystery. Michael Douglas and Michael Peña are also expected to return as Hank Pym and Luis, the latter of whom might just get a new girlfriend this time around.

Peyton Reed is directing the sequel to the 2015 comic book movie, which ended with Hank Pym showing his daughter Hope van Dyne her new Wasp costume as Scott Lang embraces the responsibility of playing Ant-Man.

Ant-Man grossed more than $500 million worldwide, and Disney is slated to release the sequel on July 6, 2018.

Park, who stars on ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat and HBO’s Veep, previously shared the screen with Rudd in the 2014 comedy They Came Together. This summer, he appeared in both Snatched and The House, and he’ll soon be seen alongside his The Interview co-star James Franco in The Disaster Artist.
