Another Conor thread: Who do you predict he fights next?

The tax man.

Whoever will offer the highest reward for the lowest risk possible.

It has been the same pattern through his entire career.
You can say that now and I understand where youre coming from but his path to the title wasn't that. He needed the belt to build what he has now but the guys he fought up to and including Aldo were tough fights. He was gonna fight RDA too but RDA pulled out. Look at all those guys hes beat prior to the belt.. Mendes (juicer) , Poirier (looking great lately), Holloway (champ), siver, Aldo (hadent been beaten in like 10 years, Alvarez former champ. I mean man.. you cant deny that run. The 2nd Diaz fight was a big risk too, bad matchup for him stylistically and a second loss in a row hurts his image alot and means no floyd fight. Hard to deny that but I get it, guy needs fight Ferg or Khabib. I question his motivation to even come back but when has he ever not showed up? How can you question that, even made weight constantly when he was looking like a cancer patient to fight at FW.

Winner of Ferg/Khabib.....if it actually happens. 4th times a charm right?

He only fought guys who were high reward type of fights. He never took a risky fight. Of course he wanted to fight Aldo and RDA, who the hell wouldn't fight a champion? Every fighter out there wants a title shot.

He only fought Mendes on 2 week notice and Holloway and Poirier had no momentum when he fought them. Those were cherry picked fights so that he could avoid the grapplers in the division.

He ducked Frankie Edgar.

Pacquiao is the only fight that makes sense imo.

Getting man handled by another boxer a few weight classes smaller makes sense to you? The big difference in that fight is that pacman will sleep Conor and not carry him to put on a show.

The winner of Ferguson/Khabib. Or if one of them (i.e. Khabib) pulls out, then he may step up and take their place instead. That'd be pretty ironic all things considered.

I don’t know man, he does not seem to want anything to do with either of them. They could both end his hype real quick. I suspect this is why he stays silent when it comes to either of them.

He should be fighting Tony anyways. why wouldn't he have just announced he would fight him, when he said he'd fight by March/April. But now moves to September. I wouldn't be surprised if Nate/Conor III is on the same card or right after, so he can take another year and a half off and/or go fight Floyd again or some other boxer.

I'm relatively shocked at how many ppl think he's fighting Floyd again. That being said, I thought the same thing about there first bout.

Geez - this has been beat to death - Nate or Floyd. Conor is not going to fight anybody else.

At this point in his career, he's only going for the biggest money fight...on his way up to the title, he'd fight anybody...even on short notice...didn't matter...but once he got to the top, his mind set has changed....He's not scared to fight anyone, but his priorities have changed...

The loan sharks when they come knocking for all that rented shit he has.

I hear you. The question was "who will he fight?" and I think it's a ludicrous question since he's said who he'll fight and there are 100 threads on the subject. It's not like we don't know the 100% answer to this question.

As to your point about his reasons - sure - but the question wasn't about that. I liked watching him fight but I think we need to move on from this guy at this point. It's stupid to keep discussing him as if he's a current MMA fighter. He's a smart businessman who will not fight MMA in its current financial state - he's too rich for the sport.

So let's stop discussing him in connection to this sport. He's now a retired fighter and smart businessman. I can dig it. I don't blame him. But don't see why we won't let him RIP with his $.

We should keep it moving is all...

Dos Anjos for the WW belt.

Floyd in the octagon for the "Let's take the money from these suckers" belt.
Imagine they give that guy a title shot after going 1 and 1 with Nate Diaz at WW.
It's so fucking stupid it will probably happen.

Because his new contract wasn't signed. Who knows what all the UFC agreed to. They probably didnt strip him because he signed already.
