Annoying sayings that are way over used in the ufc

Judges are appointed by the commission though. Not the org.
The UFC holds a lot of power as the biggest player in the game. If the UFC says to the Vegas commission or California or whomever Judge X needs to be educated or no longer used for UFC events other wise we will no longer hold events here in your state that holds a lot of sway.

Personally I believe the UFC should not go to any state that doesn't adopt the Unified Rules of MMA as written with minimal if any exceptions. Like tiny exceptions not major differences like definition of grounded opponent. Its crazy to see fighters and referees confused about what state they are in and if a fighter is down or open for certain techniques. Imagine if boxing had a double jab allowed in state X but if you did a double jab, hook double jab it was illegal? Or if a second follow up hook was illegal if preceded by a double jab.

I really dont think it's in the best interest of any organization to try to strong arm the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Organizations go by their will, not the other way around.

You might recall from WAAAAAAAAAAY back when Josh Barnett got busted for steroids following his win over Randy Couture at UFC 36.

UFC dropped him and his license to fight in Nevada was suspended for like a year and a half. PRIDE wanted to scoop up Barnett immediately. NSAC said if you want to hold an event in Las Vegas in the Future, you better abide by our judgement on fighters.

PRIDE a MUCH bigger organization than the UFC at the time, didn't sign Barnett until his suspension was up.

So yeah, don't try to move the 900 lb gorilla.

'That _ is money' and anything Cruz says.

Hate when they go on about how if a fighter has loads of takedowns in a fight its a good thing when it's only because they couldn't keep them on the ground.

"I'm in the best shape I've ever been in"

"This training camp has been so helpful, I have nothing but thanks for my team and my coaches"

"All I'm worried about is that __fighter name__ is there on Fight Night"

A personal pet peeve of mine is when a fighter is asked how he/she thinks the match will end and it's always the same exact answer, even in MMA and boxing.

"I predict a finish in the 1st or 2nd round"

The term GOAT definitely

Gets over used so much it loses its meaning

You could argue this is true of every sport.

Given MMAs age it's actually logical that the "GOAT" will be changing pretty frequently whereas in old sport the GOATS will have been long set in stone.
