Annoying sayings that are way over used in the ufc

"Don't leave it in the hands of the judges"

Motherfucker that's not a solution, get some competent judges.

Even with competent judges, the 10pt must scoring system makes no sense for MMA. A 10-9 round can be 50 punches more or 1 punch more. It doesn't accurately depict what happened in the round.

As a wrestler, almost nothing is more cringe to me than "takedown accuracy" in MMA commentary. The UFC has even gotten fucking DC using that statistic (if you can even call it that). To clarify, takedowns are not "accurate" per se -- there isn't precision in takedowns so much as other intangibles. Calling takedown attempts "accurate" is the equivelant of calling a choke explosive or a parry powerful. You will never hear "takedown accuracy" in the world of wrestling (I'm not a judo guy, but you probably won't see it there either). If I'm wrong, I apologize for my stupid fucking rant.

Yes I know, but I feel like the UFC could push for a higher standard of qualifications or experience from judges nonetheless. It isn't like the UFC has no pull with commissions either.
I think they have but I wouldn't put it past the Nevada Athletic Commission to just say "we'll take it under advisement" since the UFC answers to them, not the other way around.

That's been a problem in boxing for ages as well. Fights are hard to score because it's not entirely objective. Even trying to base it off damage as the main criteria leads to a bevy of issues, visible damage can be superficial and significant damage can go unseen..that's a problem.

That’s not an excuse.
The commission should and can be more competent.
Also, commissions are not god, if enough promoters complain and involve good lawyers, they can make them more strict on judge qualifications.
Try telling the commission that though. The UFC has been trying for 20+ years.

"Styles make fights"...Yeah so just give us another of these "classic" wrestler vs striker matches, so we can see one guy lay and pray, right?

"Conor wants to fight (insert number) times this year"...Conor wants to do many things apparently. Doesn't do a whole lot of them when it's fight-related, though, but go on...

"(Insert fighter name) doesn't want to fight"...No, he wants a better fucking contract.
