Ankalaev talks about heavy sparring with Ngannou

The translation is correct. Ankalaev also said that Francis was angry that he dropped another black fighter who was Ngannou's friend.. but later they because friends.

Taking someone down while sparring is a dick move, especially if you agreed to spar striking

Noob

DC was a HW from the start and his first 15 fights. He cut down to LHW cause of Cain Velasquez holding the title.

So DC is the example of HW > LHW

Guys forget about weight classes it's about inidivdual effort and glory. You can glaze any weigh divsions balls you ain't in it.
Not in the UFC. He went lhw to hw.
If you are talking all orgs than plenty have moved up

If someone speaks Russian, verify it please. Which anyways, would add to my theory that HWs are pretty over hyped...
Nope, that is fuckin stupid.

Ngannou is worse than Poatan off his back, that doesnt mean all HW's are like him.

I believe Honest Uncle Big Ank, but its not like is surprising that a good grappler could hold Ngannou down.

Jones fans living in the past. Not the 5 years ago past where Jones lost to Reyes. 10 years ago. Jones fans think it's 2015 still
You mean Jon Jones defeated Reyes, right? I assume you got the words wrong, since wherever I check, and no matter how many times I rewatch the result, JJ had his arms raised and Reyes was disappointed... I've even re-watched that again just to be sure, since ppl end up writing the wrong words more often in this case. Might be coincidence though.

I'd agree that it could be a peak JJ though if JJ hadn't had that huge come back win vs Cyril Gane. I mean, Reyes isn't among the best LHWs, and Cyril at least was higher ranked as a HW, having had dominant wins except bs Ngannou, which was a close fight that went the distance and then JJ who made it look like child's play... All that while JJ came back from 3 years of inactivity, in a weight class he had never fought, against someone younger, natural at HW, who had wins by submissions as well and was actively fighting... That was 🧪 JJ imo, the one who seems unbeatable. The one vs Miocic though, likely the no-chama energy JJ, as he had been on the pool for that fight, which I imagine it was the same vs OSP and Reyes. His skills and toughness made him capable of defeating them even with no Chama though. Since JJ made clear he isn't there to make as much $ as Connor, his conditions are 6 months because he wants to kick Aspinall's ass... And 6 months is likely calculated for the chama Jon Jones version, which I think would dominantly defeat Ngannou and Aspinall. Elite LHWs like prime Gustaffson, prime DC, Big Ank now I imagine would be the only ones that'd make it a hard match but winnable against monster drink Jones.

That's a lot of words for a topic that I don't even care about. But Jones lost that fight, Reyes 1,2,3

Big Time Ank. What a fucking bloke.
Yeah man, idk why ppl are surprised that Big Ank was taken off guard by an Ngannou whom had intentions of hurting him, so he quickly took him down and held him there apparently without trying to hurt Francis, just for the time to run out and for Francis to cool down... And then he said for Francis to don't get close to him again, they talked out and "kinda became friends". It might be hard to believe considering all the mystique of Ngannou's and HWs shocking KO powers, but elite LHW like Big Ank are just that good that they can make a Ngannou who went there to "show him who's the dad" go out friendly and respectful. Ankalaev won't go to HW either because... Why? LHW in general gets way more views, access. HW for the most part don't get as much attention and therefore, $ to the fighters.

It would be believable if I didn't see Ankalaev fail every takedown attempt against Pereira lol. Also maybe if it was just meant to be standup slarring and Ankalaev went for a surprise takedown but idk. Ngannou is strong and his wrestling has improved

He won 3,4,5... That's why it was 48-47. Round 3 was razor thin close. It's like saying DDP lost to Strickland 1... Or that Beterbiev lost to Bivol 1... Or that Alex lost to Jan Blackowski, that DC lost to Gustaffson. They were all very close fights. And the judges there saw one as superior in each case. No one takes any of the above fights except the JJ one as a robbery despite them being all in the same razor thin close realm. And as close as that was, Jon Jones was slightly better and won. Sorry, but it's as factual as me saying that Connor tapped to Khabib or that Ankalaev lost to Paul Craig.

basically held him there until the time was over

...wait... what? Its over when you walk away. That clock is not going to solve damn thing in there if you train with f-tard. If he is not listening you why would he listen alarm clock. Wtf
But yeah I didn't get that either, maybe Ank was just confused and thought Ngannou approached sparring as real fights so since they don't speak the same language he might have thought that taking Ngannou and holding him down until the time was over would mean just that, their sparring was done. He said he understood only later on the reason for Francis being very aggressive in the sparring.

I sparred Francis and peppered him with jabs from the outside while I circled him until the round was over.

As much as I hate to say it Frank - definitely when he was at his cockiest telling stipe I know your scared - probably goes way to hard in sparring. I'd blame that mostly on coaching thou. He hasnt had elite coaching really, and I think that has something to do with it too.

Yeah he is a bum I used to low kick him and make him get my papers. If he talked back smack to the back of the head

Unfortunately . Ank probably would beat ngannou

Not sure how you beat this guy until I see someone take him down with ease

I’d favor him to beat jones for sure … in most boring fashion ever

Jones haters already scrambling to call this fake

Jones beats Tom deal with it

And Francis for that matter
Jup beating guys through sparring storys not even involving him, while ducking hahahahah
