I've never seen a scam artist that's so unapologetic and bold. It's quite incredible. She started that gofundme like 4-5 years ago to fund her making 12 YouTube videos (dunno why you need funds to make a YouTube video) about women in games and gaming. Since then I think she's made 3-4 of the promised videos. This is one of the things she's often criticized about since she raised way more than she requested (almost $160k).

You'd think she'd continue to take her time in releasing these videos, but NOPE. It seems she just said "fuck it" and now has moved onto a new gofundme project. Now she requests $200k to make a video series about women in history. That takes some balls. It's actually impressive to embrace the scam artist image like that.

Whether you like her or not, you have to admire that type of boldness lol

You do realize she has been given a platform in front of the U.N. and she's been essentially been given a position to censor people on twitter based on her interpretation of what constitutes harassment/bullying? I know this is followed by a "But it's just twitter LOL and the U.N. ROFLMAO" - but frankly, she's influencing policy that affects people globally, and she's able to heavily influence what is heard on one of the largest social media platforms in the world. When social media is being used to influence governments and civil rights around the world, if you try and downplay the disproportionate influence this scheister has, you're likely being intentionally obtuse.

But then again, "I don't see it therefore it's not important" is a popular stance around here. So, carry on.

Well, I think we have a higher average IQ, but we fall into the extreme high and low ranges less often. Ultimately though, intelligence is a matter of interpretation.

But yeah, what you did there - I see it. I suspect that if someone does even a crappy job selling a group a narrative that hugely benefits them, even if it's based on a pack of half truths and lies, there will be large groups of people rushing to embrace it. Woman, man, black, white, whatever - the person who tells you "it's not your fault, it's that of the white/black/jew/Mexican/man/whatever" will be believed by many.

Well the "619" scam is predicated in greed, but I agree that conmen/women don't need to be particularly clever to scam people nowadays (if they ever did).

As always, it's about telling people a story they want to believe and letting them do the rest.
