Neither have I, but as a Nintendo fan and gamer I've kept track of the series and yeah it's been expanded a LOT. Shit just got way to complicated for me with a lot of Metagaming.

Edit: Back on the 4kids and One Piece thing, if there was ONE THING they did right was getting the dub voice of Guts to play Zoro.

For me battling became a lot more fun the older I got. When I was a kid I would just Hyper Beam the shit out of everyone, or other all offensive moves. Once I got older I actually used different strategies and battling became a lot more fun. What would be awesome if if the game kept a combat record for your battles so you can see your wins and losses. Also I know this won't happen, but I thought it would be neat. Trainers you beat get stronger and rematch you ( they've had that since Gold/Silver, but they would rarely rematch you and wouldn't get much stronger), and the game turns out a little different depending on how your win/loss record is against your rival. For example, if you constantly beat your rival every time he/she gets more motivated and become a lot stronger at the end. They would end up challenging you after the Elite Four and not the other way around. If you lost to your rival all the time he/she would become league champion and all that, but take you a bit lightly. It would also be awesome if you can become a gym leader. Create your own badge, and have to return to your gym to take on challengers. Although I haven't played gen 4 and 5 so I don't know if they've done that.

Agree. Before I hated shows like Survivor, but after reading it's entry on there I developed a new found respect for it(same with it's What Measure is Non-Badass entry) and it also reminded me I REALLY need to watch the Amazing Race which I had always meant to, but never could.
 
Finished the second Berserk movie and thought it was okay. Even though it was pretty low quality I could tell the animation was top notch. The subtitles were on the low quality side as well and that might be putting it mildly, this wasn't as much as problem for me because I knew what it was supposed to be saying but there were plenty of complaints from others about it.

It also had pretty glaring examples of what I dislike about most manga to anime adaptions; straying from the manga, mainly leaving scenes out, and the fact that we don't get to 'hear' the characters inner dialogue, which in a series like Berserk is often as, if not more, interesting than what is said aloud.

I'll put the rest of my thoughts in spoiler tags for those that haven't watched it yet.

My absolute main gripe with this film was that they left out, what I felt, were some important scenes from the manga. There are more and the first one isn't that important but I like Judeau so I included it.

  • Judeau having the fairy dust in order for Gatts to be able to fight in the Battle for Doldrey.
  • The scene with Gatts and Caska overlooking the Hawk camp, where Gatts first brings up his plan to leave the Hawks.
  • The entire assassination scene at the ceremony where the Hawks and promoted to 'White'.
  • Zodd throwing his sword to Gatts in order for him to kill Boscone.

There were some positives to the changes the made though, in particular the Charlotte and Griffith scene. I thought they showed Griffith's behavior and mental state deteriorating quite well, between his showing up in the middle of the night, his mind being on Gatts rather than the princess while they were having sex, to the fact that he was crying after the sex was over. And despite what I felt were unnecessary changes to the 'Hudred Man Slayer' scene, it was still very well done.

Now with all that said they're still doing a good job with the series and I hope they continue on past the Eclipse. I've always wanted to see the fight on the Hill of Swords animated.

After I finished part two I tried to watch the first ten minutes of part three but I appeared to have been filmed through a potato so I gave up.

A new Gundam:SEED? Jesus. Why? The first two were okay, nothing special in the Gundam world, but another one that seems to follow the same patern as the last two? Hopefully they at least cut back on the repetitive animation sequences.
 
Isn't the new Seed just an HD remake of Seed: Destiny?

The actual brand new movie has been on hold for 5 years because the director/writer was diagnosed with cancer

I agree with this bit whole heartedly while its cool to see things come to life in animation the insight into what the character is thinking is something that some times slows an animated piece but works well in manga
