Another good series with a lot of parody is Pani Poni Dash. Becky is pretty entertaining.
 
I've heard of it before... I haven't gotten to watching it. I'll have to look for that later.

Word... 10 chapters into any manga isn't too much for a weekly series. Considering that Ippo has over 1000 chapters already, that doesn't even constitute a "drop in the bucket" comparison.

No, I love Ippo, I just couldn't get into Claymore, I think we are having some confusion here :P

Trust me I have my own issues with Ippo, (ITAGAKI BEING No. 1) but overall still one of my favorite Manga and definitely my top Sports Manga.

I have been wondering this but what do you guys prefer Anime or Manga?

when I was younger I never read manga simply because i hated reading. However as i have gotten older I find that i read more manga every year in comparison to anime. At this point I would say 90% is manga and 10% is anime. Obviously there are exceptions but as a whole I prefer manga now.

I've always been more of a reader myself like you, I'd say 95% manga 5% anime, it's quicker and takes way less focus which I lack deeply in so I always look at it as 5 minutes to read a chapter or 2 or an hour to watch 1 or 2 episodes.

I used to be pure anime so but now I am much the same. Can crank through more Mangas than Animes.
 
there are certain series that I watch simply because there is no manga. They are all amazing but i definitely prefer manga now.
ex.
Panty and stocking
Bakemonogatari
Kara No Kyoukai

the whole cranking out thing is a a good way to put it. Much easier to marathon a manga because i can go at my own pace. Not to mention Manga is more accessible and you can do it on your phone. I remember marathoning One Piece(anime) 5-6 years ago and it took forever because each episode took 20+ minutes. in comparison a chapter would take 5-10 minutes. Probably the last really long show I marathoned.
 
So I'm watching Naruto and I just finished up watching episode 143 and I checked the filler list and I noticed episodes 143-219 are all filler. O_O that's a shit ton of filler. I did a little research and everyone agrees the vast majority of this filler is garbage so I'm definitely not gonna watch it.

Question though am I gonna miss anything important by skipping the filler?

Bleach, this shit is actually getting kinda cool now.

depends. sometimes i like the feeling of the manga more but when the japanese dub is alright, the plot is exact same as the manga and the music is good i often go for the anime.

i would say 60%anime and 40%manga.

So it seems that "Kaidou the beast" could be the first Yonkou to be targeted , I still think that Big Mam should be next what with Luffy becoming her number 1. target after fishman island, but it will be interesting to see the Strongest Creature as Kaidou is called, also its interesting to see Law get under Doflamingo's skin. On another note I'm ready to see Jinbe make a reappearance since he is the first one that Luffy wanted to join his crew (other than some joking moments on thriller bark) that didn't join right away.
