Suuuuuure. "From what you've heard." :icon_lol: I'll openly admit to having seen parts of Bible Black . Some of it isn't too extreme (just think of it as a fleshy looking strap-on...), but some of the rest is just weird. I've also seen bits of La Blue Girl, which was tentacles and monsters. Pretty bizarre, but hey: it's japan.

Seriously never seen EITHER of them(pretty much because of the bolded), but I HAVE heard of them and used to see them advertised on Anime News Network from time to time. There are just some shows that you know about even if you've never seen them. I also saw some trailers and those told all I needed to know about those shows.

Edit: I'm just gonna pretend there is no Page 5 in this new thread. ಠ_ಠ

More Edit:

Can't deny that it had an awesome catchy intro.

I read Arthur C. Clarke's The Songs of a Distant Earth yesterday, and it was great. Next season there is going to be an anime original names Suisei no Gargantia and the setting sounds somewhat similar. I already have an opinion, but would it be expecting too much to compare a mecha anime to something on the level of Clarke?

Also, fucking Firefox won't let me onto Sherdog forums. Had to use Internet Explorer. I feel dirty.

Download Google Chrome

I already have Fifefox set up in a perfect way. Don't want to lose that work.

You set it to save your tabs, or is there another problem? I have Chrome, Chrome Canary Edition, Firefox, and Opera and I have God Only KNOWS how many tabs open in each and each setup with the best extensions I could find(adblocker, speed dial, and too many tabs).

I have 12gbs of memory. And it cannot handle my tabs :icon_lol:. Once I must have at least 90 tabs open.

Whoa that's a lot, not that I'm any different with most likely 300+ tabs I have saved across Too Many Tabs, Firefox Panorama, and the Opera folders.

Edit: And this is all on 4gb, BOOYA!!!

I've been trying to get into anime lately. I loved Samurai Champloo, mainly for the style and the dialogue. I would have liked more plot development and more character growth. I tried Blood +, Elfen Lied, Cowboy Bebop, Balsa, and Ghost in the Shell. Now when I say tried I mean I watched an episode of each. Except Cowboy Bebop which I watched four episodes of. Nothing really has impressed me so far. Which of these shows should I give more time?

I considered Legend of Galactic Heroes and Eureka Seven. I want to watch something epic. I want a story to weave together and blow my mind by the time the conclusion rolls around. And I want characters I can like. I can tolerate a few assholes and idiots but if it gets too melodramatic I'll lose interest.

Any recommendations? I'll apologize in advance, I realize y'all must get a lot of recommendation threads in here.

I may try it, but damn if it won't be weird to have a browser just for Sherdog. Also, I feel like my question is going to get ignored for browser set-up.

I can give you so set-up advice if you want, but most of these are fairly self explanatory.

Edit: By self-explanatory I mean that they have previews of how they work on the download pages.

I'll make a general list.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes(starts out slow but stick with it)
Cowboy Bebop
Code Geass(hit or miss, but a lot end up loving it... me included)
Death Note
Monster
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Madoka(don't let the cutesy art style fool you)
Steins;Gate
Fate/Zero

I know. It's mostly just being stubborn about Firefox for so long.

Just finished rewatching golgo 13, shigurui death frenzy, and fighting spirit new challenger. Awesome.

It's a really good browser, they ALL are to be honest, it's just a matter of preference. Right now I use Firefox as my main since it's the most setup and customized for how I use them.

You can't get a general idea of the anime just by watching a few episodes. Legend of Galactic Heroes is epic, but it doesn't get good til quite a few episodes in.

Also watch Claymore

You always post this god damn trailer every time someone comes in looking for recommendations hahahaha.

I am incredibly glad I watched Claymore. It's replaced FLCL in my top ten of all time. And the manga is also now in my top ten as well. Hate fucking raki though.

Definitely try Cowboy Bebop again. Also, did you try the original movie for Ghost in the Shell? I've read the manga, seen both movies, and tried the TV series but the first film was the only version of GitS I ever liked.

I didn't care for Eureka Seven. It starts out really stylish, but partway through the plot just devolves into nonsensical bullshit. Think of a high-schooler trying to make some existential commentary about the true nature of the world.

Try Last Exile. If you are a car guy then watch Initial D.
