Torres is just elite. I used to say if there was a 105 division that Waterson would dominate, but really its Tecia. She's fast and technical as fuck in there.

Her last 4 losses were against the best of the best. The way she dominated Van Burrien had me back on her radar. I thought Van Burrien was gonna be the next big contender.

Hill is just a gatekeeper unfortunately for her. She's just good enough to beat or narrowly lose to the fighters trying to crack the top 10.

That fight was hard to watch. Hill looked like she regressed (she is getting old). Torres was throwing these silly little kicks you see children doing on a playground. That was not a very high level fight.

Really dissapointing. Not just the loss but bad performance. Tecia made her look amateur.

I never understood why the ufc started to give her that big push a year or 2 ago. She's fun sometimes but she has no finishing ability, a very poor record. Says dumb shit semi frequently and still was getting a desk job as an analyst, she was in the technique breakdown videos. She's probably a nice person but I don't see how any of the push was warranted. Maybe it's just me though

Never heard her analyst stuff, so dunno if she was qualified or not, but the near "female Cerrone" level of fighttaking no doubt helped her to get into the good graces of management.

I guess that's true, I didn't consider that. Her desk work was short lived. She did a few post shows with Karen bryant and the rotation of the usual guys but it was really short lived

You should watch their fights in their records instead of just their record. The difference is much more clear that way. There is a reason why one losses to Joanna while the other losses to girls like Randa Markos and Cortney Casey. There are levels to this game.

Not denying Torres is a better fighter, she's actually tried to implement a ground game to go with her karate point fighting. Hill has always stuck with muay thai and as soon as somebody shows any versatility she's in trouble. Believe me I've watched them. My point still stands, their records don't tell the whole story which you implied in your previous post.

Hill and Torres lose whenever they move up in competition, the last person Torres lost to had a draw with Markos. Hill's 3 split decisions could have gone the other way without anybody complaining. That's including Waterston and Gadelha.

Also take into consideration Hill fights whomever gets offered including short notice bouts and replacement fights.

This fight really showed where both of their ceilings are.. Tecia…gatekeeper to the top 10 possibly top 5, and Angela, while I had hopes for seems to not have what it takes go beyond top 15..
