Hill has went a far as she's going to go. I thought she was going to get over the hump when she had a string of victories, but no. And Tecia needs to find motivation every fight, because she's an also-ran as well

I don't think that lasted long either. Costa was using an IV at UFC 217 and his fight result wasn't overturned as far as I know. They only caught him cause a member of his team ratted him out due to a pay dispute.

I would normally say no fighter would ever tell you this but Joanna did recently and until then it never really dawned on me that this can happen despite the fact that it's obvious.

People typically chalk it up to a fighter just not having the ability to learn but some fighters like Joanna and perhaps Hill are rote fighters. That means they need to practice the same move endlessly and relentlessly to both learn it and maintain it nevermind improve it or try and implement it into a gameplan and have the ability to recall it on command as a response to a specific movement from the opponent.

GSP talked about this on JRE. They teach you to respond to specific queues without thinking and that's a large part of camp when prepping for a specific opponent. The inability to implement this separates tiers of fighters.

I could be wrong. Maybe she just doesn't have the headspace for all this. MMA is complicated as fuck and you need to remember way too much. But there's no money in MT. Not really.

Herrig has dropped her last 3, has had injury problems, and over a year of inactivity. It’s ride or die for Herrig, who’s only hope would be to wrestle Hill for 3 full rounds and do some serious damage from the top. I don’t see her getting a finish though.

Hill should win fairly easily. She has very high take down defense stats, crisp striking, and has been much more active. Hill is one loss away from a cut as well I think.

Hill via tko ( doctors stoppage ) in the 3rd is my best guess. The win does nothing for Hill though just a paycheck.

I could see Hill hang em up if she loses her next one. She’s getting up there in fight years, don’t think the UFC wants a gatekeeper in this division.

Conor has done similar 3-4 times in a row and he still got nuthuggers by his side
 
Tecia is underrated, but is a solid crafty middle-of-the-pack fighter who's good everywhere. What she lacks in finishing ability amd trash-talking, she makes up for in being solid and persistent. For her part, Hill is very hot-and-cold, and gets outmuscled / outworked with ease by her opponents.
