Television ANDOR Season 2 (Official Trailer, Premieres April 22)

I have a bad feeling about this..

Andor S1 plus Rogue One feels like the perfect amount of story telling, I don’t really need any more.

Hyped but cautiously so. The trailer was off to me, the music was incredibly ill fitting, both in tone and because it's Star Wars. Hopefully it's as thoughtful and well crafted as the first season.

Trailer to me looks like its more something execs came up with to try and draw in a wider audience beyond the SW nerds like us who were already going to watch, reminds me of those trailers you get for films after release with a load of critical and audience reactions in them.

Actual footage though doesnt seem to suggest its going to be a big shift into "edgy cool" to me. Big advantage with Andor of course is that the 1st season was already pretty self contained, indeed each of the mini arcs within it were pretty self contained so it isnt really that dependant on season 2.

My guess is it will be a bit more conventional if only because the Andor character himself seems to have less of an arc left to him dramatically although Luthen and Motha still have plenty to give there and I suspect may become more central. The first season going down so well also I suspect means the budget will be quite a bit higher as well.

not much more to be said about the song in the trailer than what’s already been said. not gonna let it ruin my excitement because Andor season 1 was tremendous

Gonna be great if they can capture lightning in a bottle twice!!!

It's a completely new story at this time since he escaped, but they can build on that dynamic & hopefully do it some justice. All teh elements are set up... with great characters, & a nice backdrop of teh corrupt bureaucracy, Empire fookery... vs teh rebellion etc... & so it's all ready to go.
I got high hopes~

Can't wait for this. Just waiting for the second season to start and then I'll rewatch the first one.

Just rewatched eps S1 1-5 and it's every bit as good as I remembered. The writing is just a cut above anything since Rogue 1. I'll finish the rest of S1 and start pacing the floor for S2.

I do feel like this should be the blueprint for Starwars content set around that timeline either just before or during the events of the originals, have the Mando setting a few years post ROTJ as a bit more larger than life and this era as more serious thriller.

Part of it is having very talented people involved of course but really with the pull of SW in name and money that shouldn't be a problem, you do that and really the potential is pretty much limitless both for series and films, endless lower level stories you could tell not involving Jedi/Sith.
