Anderson vs Belfort 2

TRTless Vitor vs coming off surgery Anderson

Compelling fight because there are so many wildcards. Would do good numbers because of the names too. Makes sense to me.
 
I'd hate to see this be Anderson's return fight because if Vitor won all of his fanboys would be like "see? first fight was a fluke, lucky kick."

Anderson will win as long as he doesnt get hit hard. His chin is declining rapidly. He will go out like Chuck if he keeps fighting top guys
 
I think Vitor has a great chance if he keeps fighting as aggressively as he has in his past few fights. However, we'll see what type of Vitor shows up...
 
Would love to see this fight. Silva obviously doesn't deserve it at the moment, Belfort didn't deserve it the first time either so I guess it works out.

I think Belfort beats him since he won't be coming off such a huge layoff and Anderson most likely doesn't have as much confidence as he did coming into the first fight.

Would be fun and something I would definitely like to see.

Why wouldn't Anderson deserve it? He has a win over Vitor and is only coming off of title losses after a historic streak. At this point, anyone getting a fight with Anderson should consider themselves lucky that they're getting him at this point in his career. I know Vitor is on a monster streak of KOs and has never looked better, but to say Anderson doesn't deserve Vitor is kind of silly imo.

Because he dropped two fights and Vitor is on a three fight win streak.

I don't think it's silly at all. Winning three is better than winning none. I agree, he would be lucky to get it though because it would be a nice payday.
 
All these Anderson hypothetical match ups are just complete wild guesses until we see how he looks when he comes back.

Two back to back ass whoopings. KO'd in one and nearly again in the other. Completely broken bone. Surgery and rehab. Nearly 40.

It's very possible he's never even remotely as good as he used to be. In fact it's likely. You almost never see people come back from shit like that at his age.

True dat. If Vitor legit stays clean and his levels go from the 1,300+ or whatever they were to the 172 they were when tested this last time then Vitor will be a complete shell of his former self.

It's probably hard to get out of bed with t-levels of about 170, much less do a full training camp.
 
I give Vitor no chance if he can't put a hard shot on Anderson, which isn't guaranteed.

He has shown technical improvement as of late, but he is still far too willing to come forward for me not to favor the master counterstriker in Silva.

lol I like you but this is ridiculous. Silva is still the #2 MW in the world by all accounts.

He probably won't be for long because of the accumilation of damage an injuries and being 40. But his accolades far suprass everyone elses and he deserves to be above Vitor, Machida, and everyone else at MW besides Weidman.

Unless of course Machida beats Weidman.

Silva shouldn't get the fight, but not because of deserving. He shouldn't get it because he isn't a viable contender to Weidman for awhile so matching him up with one of the most viable contenders doesn't make sense.

Vitor won't take the fight unless he gets the MW title.

Vitor vs Anderson in Brazil, for the Middleweight title, would be huge.
