Anderson vs Belfort 2

Vitor to be frank isn't that great of a striker as people make him out to be.

I'm not so sure about that. Vitor may be one of the most devastating strikers of our time, imo. He's so fast and if he knows he just tagged you, he's coming with that blitz that a lot of high level guys haven't been able to deal with.

That said, I think with Vitor's recent streak, and Anderson coming off 2 rough losses, that Dana and co. will give him a warm-up fight first. I love the possible Diaz matchup. Big money fight, 2 big names coming off layoffs and title fights. I'm down.

This made me laugh. Aren't we still talking about Anderson Silva? Amazing how much changes in a year I guess.

A lot changes when you snap your leg in two and you're not training for almost a full year. Silva will never be the same.

The same or not, I still think he absolutely crushes Bisping and any other upper-mid/lower-top tier in the division.

Bisping if he beats Lee, Anderson lost 2 in a row and Vitor is a beast, I say let Anderson get a win before throwing him in against some one ranked in the top 5

Anderson lost 1 to Weidman, and lost the other to a broken leg. either way, he lost to the number one contender and champion. now all the sudden he has to earn a shot at vitor? what the fuck ever. I don't really care to see that fight honestly, but for you to sit here and say that Anderson has to earn his shot at anybody short of Weidman is insanity. youre a moron.

he gets anybody he wants that doesn't hold a title. why...cause hes earned that, and his first fight back will be a good draw. incase you hadn't heard, that's what promotions do...they sell fights according to money, not rankings.

Silva would stomp vitor again just like last time and even more so now that vitor isn't on trt like he was last time.

yes, we are speaking about Anderson, however, by the time he fights it will have been over a year and his last fight ended with his leg being snapped in half, I would simply prefer to see him build momentum and confidence before jumping in to a fight at full sprint.

he doesn't have time to build momentum and confidence. at his age, that isn't a luxury he can afford. hes going to have to jump right the fuck in.

Anderson.

Styles make fights. Weidman style was a problem for Anderson, Vitor's style would be more of a problem for Weidman, and Anderson's style is a problem for Vitor.

Chris could beat Vitor as well obviously but I think Vitor would give him more problems at least early on. Who knows? Would love to see Silva/Belfort 2 either way.

Traditionally Vitor's main problem has been opponents who pressure him in the clinch and on the ground.

Anderson did arguably exploit Vitor's focus mostly on boxing in the first match but that obviously isn't the case anymore.

Vitor may not be so beastly without TRT. And he's close to the same age (Belfort is 37 and Anderson is 39). I think he's a better match-up than some of the hungry, up-and-coming elite guys who are much younger.

lol

TRT (and god knows what else) Belfort had nothing for Anderson the 1st time around.

Great striking = understanding the timing of your strikes. Fast with good power but technically not there with Anderson. Diaz fight would be better for Anderson but I don't think Diaz will take it, he doesn't like getting banged up and media.

Anderson. Vitor is always super hesitant against top level opponents.I'd rather see him fight Cung Le, though. They'd keep it standing, and it would be competitive IMO. Anderson hasn't faced a striker with a pedigree like Le's.

Vitor is really his own worst enemy. He mindfucks himself (or has in the past). Who knows, it's been so long since Vitor has actually choked in a fight (he went for the kill against Jon Jones) that he may have already squashed those demons.

Belfort with out trt. Who knows. He might look 50 years old overnight.

I prefer Anderson get some fresh, new match ups that we would not have gotten to see if he was still champion (Anderson vs Bisping or Cung Le)

If they continue to win and their paths cross for a title eliminator then yeah but that's being very hopeful for 2 nearly 40 year olds.

That is the best alternative for Sulva to get his belt back, if Vitor somehow beats Weidman/Machida.

Titanium Leg Silva vs Testosterone Starved Vitor
