Anderson Silva's son will make his MMA debut this year

Andersen worked at McDonald's by day and trained at night.

You don't think working at McDonald's for long hours and crap pay mixed in with thinking about how people probably looked down on him for his situation didn't give him extra incentives to train harder?

You think his son has that same level of dedication and motivation? Clearly he at least has one other serious hobby since he's a design student.

Lol at being a design student.

Anderson was waiting outside a gym with a gun wanting to kill his old teacher at his age.

If I spent my life coming from poverty to wealth through fighting, the last thing I would want is my kid to be a fighter

I think a good parent would let their kid try it and if it does not end up going anywhere, step in and have a talk.

Sure, let them do what they're passionate about but I def wouldn't like it if I was Silva.

Silva and son vs Abdulmanap and Khabib... book it Dana

Just frmo watching that little clip I can already tell he won't be as good as Silva. He won't make it IMO. He went in without analyzing his opponents speed, accuracy, reach like daddy does.

Also very sloppy strikes.
Muay Thai with kneepads, headgear, big gloves, etc.

He looked more like his father like 3 years ago:

He's come a long way.

Yeah, I seen his spar and he doesnt look to have the fire and hunger like his old man did. He wants to be an MMA fighter to make his dad proud it looks.
Thats large shoes to fill really. Whatever makes him happy. I remember a very young silva. He was extremely aggressive with his muay thai.

At age 21 - completing 22 next month - the young design student debuted in amateur Muay Thai with a second-round knockout over Nick Navarro at "WCK Full Rules Muaythai". Gabriel Silva now hopes to debut in MMA by the end of the year.

''I do not plan on being the next Anderson Silva or the next Jon Jones. I want my own space and I will conquer it. It's great luck to have him as a parent and mentor, absorb as much as possible to put into practice and be the best.''

I never denied that though? If anything, I'm agreeing?

Can't wait for his stepson Erick Silva to make his MMA debut. I heard he's a hot new young prospect.
