No that guy was spot on.

Boxing is worse for the brain but infinitely easier on the body overall. These MMA guys have all the wear and tear from striking sports but even worse physical damage from all the grappling. Especially wrestlers. Their spines, necks and all other joints are destroyed. So of course it would be easier to just stand upright and throw punches.
yeah i get that, but i dont know if there are MMA fighters who fight as long as some boxers do. Danny Williams i think is 54 years old. how he gets licensed to box, i have no idea. he originally retired after getting KO'd by Derek Chisora - in 2004!
seems like MMA fighters accumulate a bunch of damage really quickly, relative to boxers.

Hoping for yet another fluke win for Weidman. That would be a record nobody will ever beat, to beat the same guy 3 times via fluke circumstances.

They also have much shorter primes. They also don't have the culture where they get built up with an undefeated record beating lower level comp for years untill stepping up, most MMA fighters have a rough starts because that's the nature of the sport. Even in the regional circuit there's tough grapplers and tough strikers, and most MMA fighters run into somebody who is better at something.

They have several losses in their first few years and once they make it to the top they're already mid to late 20s and already have the mileage on their bodies.

Ehhh, sort of a fair fight, both broke their legs, and Silva gets the preferred sport for his age. I don't mind it. Sucks if Silva gets KO'd again. Would be a W if Silva gets revenge. I kind of like it, the first 2 fights were very strange.
Aint even about what's fair. Neither of them should be fighting period.

It's not 2013 anymore.

First fight was no fluke, Chris's backhand fucked Anderson's head movement timing and resulted in him getting KTFO
If the fluke was Andy clowning, he clowned every fight, it just caught up with him.

Kowboy, i've served my jail time. Please let me create threads again.

Thank you.
You may have not been aware of the consequences of your pink future, but they still loom.

i can imagine a panic td by thechris after getting his face lifted

As someone who is STILL salty about that first fight 12 years later, if this happens depending on the result, I'll either be insanely shameless about it or I'll be put on suicide watch

I'd be shocked if Weidman wins this.

This should be easy work for Silva. Even with no chin left on both.

Weidman does not have the power or the chin anymore. And there is no takedown threat.

Teh Chris is still my boy, but in a pure striking fight, Silva wins. And it doesn't help Chris's chin has been cracked too many times since Chris vs Silva 2.

Horrific matchup for Chris. Anderson is a high level boxer and would outbox any MMA fighter even now and the Chrees barely gets out of fights. I would rather see Anderson fight Shake Paul for the second time to be honest.

Those guys truly like getting hit in the head.

I get it but Silva has no pop in his punches at his age now and Weidman doesn't either. It can't go worse than the first 2 fights, it's probably just an opportunity for Silva to redeem himself.
