Anderson Silva pro boxing debut

Regime starts to cry anytime anyone says a bad thing about Anderson Silva.

He looked better then I thought he would. It was his opponents first and last fight though.
 
Stop talking about MMA like it's a real fight. In a real fight Dan Henderson would have gouged the crap out of Silva's eyes when he had him on the ground and Silva would be blind and dead.

Anderson can beat RJJ by knees, standing elbows, or any type of submission.

Respect pro fighters you key board warriors. You guys cant criticize anybody, because you guys would never be able to wipe A silvas ass. You can continue to be bitter that Anderson can do two sports, while boxers stay clear of MMA.

Stay here in the boxing forum. Stay in your little inferior corner criticizing real fighters.

I've never seen pro boxers street fight, have you. I love how all MMA fans seem to think just because someone's choice is to Box for a living means they can't "street fight". Many Boxers have other backrounds like BJJ, wrestling, and other arts. Pac Man has been studying BJJ for a while now, but I'm sure you did not know that did you. Cintron has already said he would fight Sherk, what happened with that? Oh ya, White said hell no! I've been in and out of Boxing clubs for years now and a lot of the fighters have many different backrounds, yes stupid they can knee and kick and do all kinds of other things they just choose boxing. So STFU and stay in the HW's you jerkoff

not to mention someone like bernard hopkins grew up in the fucking ghetto getting in real street fights. They think he cant fight? he was a straight up thug. Someone could try to take him down, then they get stabbed.

Would Jordan be better at Ice Hockey than Gretzky would be at Backetball?

You can't call the best mma fighter in the world the best fighter anymore than you can call the best boxer in the world the best fighter. They're both regulated sports and neither is a real fight.

I remember one of the Gracies calling out Jones to "a real fight" at one of his press conferences in the late 90's. Jones response was that if you want a real fight then meet me in the parking lot. Gracie refused, obviously he didn't want Jones in a real fight, he wanted him in an MMA match.

Then there's Cintron calling out Dana White and Sean Sherk on their ridiculous challenge to any world champion boxer to fight for the title in an mma match. That was just sad, Dana didn't want Sherk anywhere near Cintron even in Sherks own sport.

I have a lot of respect for Anderson wanting to challenge himself by fighting Jones in a boxing match. anderson would obviously get destroyed, but still wanting to do that takes a lot of balls. Compare that to Gracie and sherk backing out of their own challenges.

LOL at the progression of this thread. Like one of the more entertaining episodes of the Simpsons, I thought it was about one thing, then it turned out to be about something else entirely, then guns appeared.

lol hopkins said himself once the fight hit the ground it would be over (for him)

most boxers that are realistic know they would have virtually no chance in an mma fight without training grappling for several years.

Thing about that argument is, just because they dabble in other disciplines doesn't mean they're any good at it. At least not on the level of guys who do them full time. Just like an MMA fighter who dabbles in boxing doesn't mean he has good hands, and never will on the level of a pro boxer.
