Anderson signed a 10-fight deal

10 fights? No way he has 10 fights left in him. This is simply a retirement contract. It just solidifies what we already knew - he'll be fighting in the UFC until he's done fighting, period.

I honestly do not see him fighting that many times before retirement, especially when he fights like once a year now.

I say 4 more fights 6 at the MOST.

*Fine print:

Will only fight GSP at 178.

Will never fight Jon Jones unless he is drained.

Let me fight bisping 9 times.

Gsp won't fight Silva unless he is drained and Jones won't fight Silva unless he is 15 lbs bigger. I don't see the difference.

Bonnar was a good win. Bonnar took Jon Jones and Rashad Evans to decisions. I doubt either one of them would finish Bonnar even today...not to mention Anderson is a Middleweight fighter no matter how his detractors want to spin it.

It spoke volumes when both Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar made comments that being in the cage with Anderson Silva made them feel like they'd never trained a day in their lives. Neither Forrest nor Bonnar are elite LHWs at this point, but both are damn good fighters and tough son of a bitches. Anderson straight up toyed with them. No one else has done that. Others may have beaten them, but no one has done what Anderson did to them. That shit was otherworldly. It looked straight out of The Matrix.

It's not that surprising. Even if he fights only twice a year, that means the contract will be done by the time he's 42. If Randy and Hendo can do it, I don't see why Anderson can't.

People dont age the same.

This. And sometimes guys seemingly get old overnight. Look at Chuck. Look at a ton of guys in the NBA and NFL. It's not uncommon at all to see a guy go from world beater to also ran seemingly overnight.

it'll be easy if he continues to be matched up against roided up washed up fighters who haven't fought in years, small asian guys, math teachers, etc.

How is Yushin a small guy, he is HUGE for MW.

......................Stipulation in contract, Spider gets to pick all his opponents. :D

Right, neither are elites at this point, but when Anderson fought Forrest, he was arguably #2 at LHW (It was his first fight removed as champion). Griffin and Bonnar are good wins for any fighter and are both tough as nails. Anderson beating them is one thing but it was the way he beat them.

The both stopped cutting weight. I don't expect Silva wants to do that.

Riiiigggghhht because Dana White, Joe Silva, or any MMA fans are clamoring for those fights. Those fights will definitely be made...I guess if it makes you sleep at night.
