When you think of the possibilities of that guy's story, I mean speculating of course because if you can just personally ask him (NOTE: InsideBJJ or other BJJ podcasters, his story would be great to have documented), perhaps he was promoted to Blue JUST so he could compete in Mundials considering that there was no White belt divisions back then at that competition. It may have been possible that he could have won at white and then at black the following year if there were a white belt division back then. Just a thought. - E
