Same with boxing, a business I lost respect many years ago especially when Mayweather handpicked his opponents. The opponents he cherry picked were not even known but he used his promotional skills to hype up the fights. Til this day people claim Ali to be the GOAT or Floyd when boxing has been dominantly for American business only. The Olympics say otherwise. I knew when countries like Kazakhstan were giving America a run for their money winning gold while the boxers in the U.S. were not winning in the top 3, that told me boxing is just a business and there’s so much talent outside the country.

Take a look at the NBA too. You have a small percentage of European players and they’ve become so dominant compared to the U.S. players as of late.
