Being such an avid fan of MMA, I don't usually follow other sports much. That being said used to watch some football when I was younger. Always been a Raiders fan and always will because that was my pop Warner "team". Seeing that they were doing decent again since fucking Gannon I've been watching them again. Cutting to the chase, after losing tonight to KC, I understand we are #5 seed. If KC loses next week and we win are we back up or because they beat us twice its indifferent? Basically trying to grasp what is the equation to NFL playoffs

Both teams have 10 wins and 3 losses but the Chiefs are in the lead because they have beaten the Raiders twice. If the Chiefs would lose any of the remaining games and the Raiders win all of theirs the Raiders would be ahead again but it isn't likely.

See I just don't get the playoff system. Just doesn't make much sense. Technically we could finish with a stronger record I'm our division and still be a wildcard??

All division winners are guaranteed a top 4 seed. If Raiders finish with the best record in the AFC West they'd win the division regardless of any h2h tiebreakers
