Am I still allowed to laugh at Louis CK's jokes?

Is it ok to revisit and enjoy Louis CK's material? Stand up, TV shows etc

Fuck you. Fuck him. I'll go fuck myself.

Since we are all laughing at you @Clippy I think its only fair you get to laugh at Louis jokes.

Yeah this is the best answer to most questions. Sherdog, grocery store, etc.

Pretty much. We can delve into it but everyone has their mind made up.

There is not many things I care less about than a dude whacking it in front of willing participants.

I dont agree with him politically either, but funny is funny. I'm not going to stop myself from laughing over trivial nonsense.

It's like asking, "Am I still allowed to sneeze?"

Funny is funny. Though it is hard for most people to separate the art from the artist. Luckily, I never liked him anyway.

Why shouldn't you/we??

The way i understood the story is Louis was in a hotel room with 2 women - actual grown-up women in their 30's - who were there willingly. A small party, all possibly a bit stoned/drunk.
At some point Louis asks "Ladies, do you mind if i whip out my dick and masturbate in front of you?" (paraphrasing)
The women think he is joking and for a laugh they egg him on
"No, you're alright, go on Louis, show us yer dick!" (again, paraphrasing)
Louis then whips out his dick and starts to do suggestive things with it.
The women decide they don't like it and don't want to see it after all, but they don't say anything, until 50 years later when we get to hear about it too.

Now, I wouldn't want to see Louis with his dick in his hand either (i imagine it's much like him - fat, milky white and freckled, lost in a sad and flimsy nest of greying ginger hair) but those women are ridiculous. There is nothing threatening, coercive or in any way criminal or untoward in that situation. An awkward misunderstanding, yes. Victims of a heinous crime, no. Until the bodies start piling up at Louis' house that's how i see it.

If anything, didn't Louis just call their bluff, and exposed them as immature cowards and phonies?

Remember when art and artist were two separate things?

I wish we could go back to these times.

Does laughing at someone's joke implies that you validate any of the person's past behaviour? That logic is weird af.

What he did was obviously wrong but, at least he didn’t actually put his hands on anybody (did he?) or drug and rape them.

Compared to a few other celebs that have been accused, what Louis did was pretty tame. Unlike most, he also apologized immediately and does seem to show a bit of remorse. He didn’t stay quiet and/or lie about anything as well. I can respect that about Louis. He admitted what he did was wrong, apologized, he truly did seem remorseful.

All this sexual assault shit going on over the last year or so.. man, it’s actually getting on my nerves. A lot of it could be lies/gold digger hoes trying to get money. You can’t really bring that up to often, though, because the white knight fuckhead losers will lose their minds, thinking they’re gonna get laid if they defend some girl no matter the situation, no matter if she’s right or wrong. I fucking hate all these feminist white knight goofball bitches.

I’m getting a little OT here so I’ll just end with this video:

That guy did nothing wrong. They’re talking shit to him because of his jacket. Straight up just harassing this guy for no reason. So another guy on the train starts filming it. The 3 slimy little cunts see it after he says something and they immediately go to him, trying to hit his phone away n make him stop filming. The 8-ball jacket guy basically calls the mouthy one a bitch and she then hits him in the side of the head with a fucking stiletto from behind. The man turns and pays the woman back for it - the right thing to do on his part.

Then a fucking LOSER ass white knight cunt starts attacking the man that simply defended himself after being assaulted with a weapon. A weapon that could’ve caused serious harm. What annoys me is you see the white knight sitting next to one of the scummy hoes earlier in the video, LAUGHING while the mouthy one picks on the 8-ball jacket for NO reason. He sees that she is completely out of line from the start as she’s insulting the man. Man stands up for himself by calling her a bitch as he’s walking away (looks like he is), she hits him with the stiletto because of it, and he slaps her for it.

The 8-ball jacket man had every fucking right to slap her for that. But of course that little fucking twerp had to defend that weak, sweet, harmless female! Maybe that guy was actually a friend of theirs but I don’t think he was, I think he was just another mangina fgt.

Apologies for getting way off topic and ranting. This video made me so fucking mad when I first saw it, lol. That bitch is lucky he only slapped her. If I was in the same position.. I don’t know if I could stop myself. I would’ve made goddamn sure to put that f’n goofball white knight in the hospital, though. As you can tell I’m all worked up now, lol.

Great bitch slap but he should have bitch slapped the guy recording it to for using portrait mode.

Im on the left on most things, but I'll watch Louis CK while eating Chik-fil-a followed up with a pudding pop because
I don't give a f**k about SJW nonsense, and boycotting products over the political stance of some overpaid asshole executive is idiotic.

I don't like what CK did but I love his stand up comedy. He's hysterical.

Some of his older sets were fantastic. The saddest handjob in America is a classic. At one point in time he was the best stand up comedian around.

Burr was also at the top for a long time. Sebastian Manascalco is at the top now too. These things go in waves.

Jesus dude, don't be such a pussy.

As I understand it, that is what happened, but you left out one part. Apparently he blocked the door so they couldn’t leave.

Anyway, his jokes are still funny. Can’t help that. It’s not like anyone makes a conscious decision about what it is they find funny. Well, some people do. But they’re cunts.

He didn't block the door. The accusers never said that. That was just an exaggeration that got added to the story as it circulated. The women said they consented, but almost in jest, because they didn't think he was serious. Then when he actually did it, they started laughing because they thought it was part of a joke. Then by the time they realized he was doing it for real, like for his own gratification, they started to get grossed out, but they stayed.
It wasn't until they left and they talked about it in the hallway did they both kind of realize that yeah, it was gross.

Someone else who can make polls please make a new thread like this but about Bill Cosby

I'm not going to lie I have always been a fan of his comedy, listening to his standup helps me get through work. Revisiting some stuff and laughing but wondering if I should feel bad about it or if I'm still allowed to enjoy his work?

His a video where he pays a genuine, funny and emotional tribute to George Carlin:

Sure, but now you have to masturbate and laugh at the same time.

Ah. Must have forgotten that part, about blocking the doorway. That is creepy. Maybe a heat of the moment thing, anger at being tricked, stalling for time because he knew the situation was not going like he intended... still creepy though, no two ways about that. As I understand it, both ladies are still alive and well...?
