Almost 5 months on, can we agree that Nayt Diaz's win over McGregor is the biggest upset in MMA?

Any time in MMA one fighter has at least some advantages over another, it is never a huge upset.

Or at least it shouldn't be by this point in time.

If nothing else, Nate had better cardio and submissions than Conor, so it's surprising that he implemented his skills so well, but it shouldn't truly shock you.

GSP/Serra isa fight that would go to GSP 99/100....it just happened that the "1" was the first time they met.

Not even close to the biggest upset, op just happens to be a newfag

No we cannot all agree on that. He was coming up in weight, he was not dominant for that long. Just two off the top of my head bigger upsets were anderson vs chris and gsp vs serra.

Edit:also randy vs chuck and many more. You must be pretty new to the sport.

That's nothing compared to:
Ronda/Holm
GSP/Serra

Nah, biggest upset is USADA finally catching Bork and Jones.

There will be a few keyboard experts on here who will always say they knew he would win but realistically it is the biggest upset in MMA history. although Nayt is a good fighter he has never been anything more than 'good' whereas he faced and still does face one of the best fighters and knock out artists in MMA history. It's easy to see why the bookies still favour McGregor when you consider this and the fact that McGregor will have better cardio this fight.

Are there any bigger upsets?
da fuq?

Only a moron would think it was an upset at all. This reeks of a marketing post lol.

How the hell was little Connor supposed to beat Nate Diaz? Seriously, how? Land his magic Aldo punch? Connor was tailor made for Nate, and still is. Only way Nate loses is if somebody convinces him it's "best for business.'

There is a bigger upset on 80% of MMA cards than Nate Diaz of course beating Connor at 170.

Biggest in terms of PPV Buys sold where an underdog won....yes!

Biggest as in most shocking....hell no.

how can a guy getting his ass beat by a guy two weight classes above him be considered the biggest upset

lol mma fans so stupd most of the time

If you mean biggest group of upset "fans" in MMA.. Maybe?

The Underground has an opening if you wanna try there!
