All Time GOAT poll

They are all cool, as I get older I don’t care anymore and I think a greatest for each class makes more sense. Best HW ever has an edge by fighting at heaviest class but it’s rlly all fantasy

I kind of soured a little bit on GSP when he went after Bisping
Just seems like he took the easiest path, and I always thought he was cute concerned about his legacy which meant he ended up almost picking fights he knew he could win or playing it safe
He fought the guy with the title. What's wrong with that?

Even if that were objectively true (and it isn't), his resume speaks for itself. Unlike Fedor and Anderson, virtually every fight GSP had in the UFC/Pride was a top 10 fight...and he won 95% of them
He's up there for sure but I have Fedor edging him out only because the amount destruction he caused during his time.

There is no objective measure that doesn't lead to Saint Jon when we are discussing the GOAT. These conversations would benefit from a caveat of excluding Jon as there might be some actual debate then.
Jones is great and certainly worthy of being goat

My reason for picking gsp is his consistent high level quality of opponents

GSP, still the GOAT

The only person who can argue a resume as solid as him is Jones, but Jones a fucking cheater so fuck him

#1 GSP
#2 Fedor
#3 Mighty Mouse

Heart says Silva, but my brain says Jones.

I don't get why Khabib isn't getting more love.

WHO. BLEEPING. CARES.

Why is that we have to have these "GOAT" discussions all the time? They're worthless! First, there is no objective way to know. Second, does it really matter? I mean, if GSP was a bigger GOAT than Anderson Silva, does that somehow dimish Silva's career accomplishments?

It's not just MMA either, if I hear one more "Jordan vs. Lebron" argument I'm gonna nut punch the person.

Why can't we just appreciate these athletes for what their talent and accomplishments and not get into silly, subjective discussions about who's better than who?

Neither was Jones. What do you consider "regular"? The one gif everyone shows of Teixeira from ten years ago?
‘Jonny, you’re a great, talented fighter. You don’t need to use an illegal tactic to be successful’. I try to tell people it’s not intentional. But now, I’m kind of known for it. And it’s working.” (*Video courtesy: Luminous YouTube channel via The Hurt Business documentary; H/T Sportskeeda for the transcription)

If you only evaluate on achievements, no one is close to Jon, he has won 15 or 16 consecutive title fights spanning a decade plus.

That's the case for Jon.
"Well everyone does steroids"

If you value honor and detract from achievements when a fighter has popped, that will disqualify Jon.

You are either in camp A or camp B but to act like it is impossible to reach the opposing conclusion is weird.
It isn't hard logic to grasp.

Anyway, please continue kicking the dead horse. Fuck that horse anyway.
And the guy who rode into town on him.

Complete nonsense : first of all, if that was simply ok fighters would have publicly said it, yet none of them ever did it. They're all supposed to be clean in front of the general public, because they know deep down it's wrong. I also believe some fighters never cheated such as Mark Hunt for instance.

Secondly, no drug testing would never mean an even playing field because money buy the best products and the best doctors. Also, it's even worse when your country is literally known for state sponsored doping, because it means you literally have the state helping you, which basically means unlimited access to anything.

Conclusion : you're delusional <GOT2>

@Enson Inoue said on Rogans podcast that it stated "in the contract" that they wouldn't test for steroids...so yes, fighters have said it publicly sir.

Honest question to Jones fans. I am done arguing with you guys and if in the face of all the evidence , if you still support your boy so be it .

But if sherdog is to represent a microcosm of the world wide MMA community, I believe it is safe to say that half of this community does not believe Jones to be goat due to PED usage.

Don't you all thing that you would at least need a majority of people to believe a fighter is goat before designating this label to him/her?

Doesn't it bother you at all that Jones does not have that support of the MMA community?
I really want you to be smarter.
Everyone is on steroids
Feelings don’t matter
Jon has never lost a fight ever
