All Time GOAT poll

Not “don’t kill me” jones. Pissing hot again. It’s coming.

Because their all-time lists aren't based on top ten ranked wins, but rather duration (which can be inflated for fighters who aren't very active).
Their all time lists looks better than that list based on top 10 wins though. Werdum should be top 5. I think both lists over value Cain though mainly because most of his best wins are the same people multiple times.

At the time it was considered a robbery. Not just by sherdog but by the UFC and the entire media core. As time passed people saw a win on GSPs record and became rationalizing and spinning it into just another close decision like Jones v Gus.

Also wild how everyone ignores the fact he retired after that fight(he was 31 or 32) and refused to give Hendricks the rematch. So there's that.
So what? He is the smartest fighter that quit on top. He fought top comp the whole way through then left on a high note and gets shit on for that? Is he supposed to be like Liddell, Wandy, Fedor, BJ to get embarrassed and smashed before they quit?

GSP got pieced up by Matt Serra in his first title defense and then got brutally knocked around by a one-dimensional, one-punch wrestler while he was in his prime.
The way he quietly retired and disappeared after getting fucked up like that showed his true character.
White belt lol

No, but he probably owed Hendricks a rematch at the very least. Beat him and prove the first fight is a fluke or lose and pass the torch officially. I don't have too much of an issue with him leaving when he did. My issues is him cherrypicking his comeback for one ridiculously easy fight (while holding up the division for over a year) then quitting right after...again.

He doesn't owe Hendricks shit. Cherry picked? He fought the middleweight champ at the time and won. I understand Bisping was stylistically an easier fight but he was the champ who just beat Rockhold. GSP earned the right to fight who he chose at the end of his career

When you lose a fight and the judges give you the decision, the respectable thing is to give that fighter another chance. Yes, GSP can do whatever he wanted...and did. And in picking the worst MW champ this side of Dave Menne, he held up the division for over a year and refused to defend against rightful challengers!

Serious question, how do you think the GSP / Hendricks rematch would go under USADA?

I think it would be a waste of a fight for GSP because Hendricks looked like absolute dogsh*t the moment USADA came into the UFC.

I love how all the GSP haters say Bisping was an easy fight when the odds of their fight were basically even, heck even Sherdog thought it was a very close fight and was divided.

Wouldn't be surprised if you haven't started MMA at that point.

And how about Jones? I don't see you crying over him giving Reyes or Santos a rematch?

Hendricks won his very next fight...for the title...Hendricks would have beaten GSP worse than the first fight imo. Hendricks wasn't even one of the better nextgen fighters and got wasted by the cream of the crop guys...who would also have beaten GSP...who also got out right as USADA was going in.

Nice, you avoided all of my points, I asked how their rematch would go under USADA, his 'next fight' against Lawler where he won the belt was still in 2014 before USADA.

Hendricks was 12-3 pre USADA, 1-5 post USADA, you do math how their rematch would have gone without Hendrick's special protein bars.

GSP retired in 2013, USADA came in 2015, yup he clearly left the absolute moment USADA was going in alright lmfao

Still ignored how Sherdog AND oddmakers had the GSP Bisping fight to be even, now after GSP beat him he was suddenly an easy easy fight?

And what about Jones giving Reyes or Santos a rematch? You didn't answer that?

Every elite fighter will have an off night / face a bad match up and face a ridiculously close fight, even Khabib had that against Tibau the moment he faced an elite MMA wrestler.

I'll explain again...hendricks started losing because the guys he fought were all better up and comers than him. His skills surpassed those of GSP, who he would have beaten in '13, '14 and beyond, because the game passed him (GSP) by, as it does all the greats...that's why he got out when he did, because even the mid-tier guys of the next generation could beat him by that point (can use Bader vs Fedor as a similar example). It does not appear that you understood my reply.

USADA is not nearly as important in this case as you think...under USADA, Hendricks wins, because his style was made to beat GSP, who was the champion at the time...just my opinion of course.

Also Bisping had one working eye and was shot...seriously, they could have argued that Bisping was not medically able to fight anymore at that point. The oddsmakers? So we are going to base our arguments on that? Oddsmakers have never been wrong have they (Rousey 9:1 fave remember that???)

Jones vs Reyes is the same situation and would argue that Reyes definitely deserved that rematch! And look at Reyes career trajectory afterwards...look familiar to Hendricks???

Again he didn't loose the fight. I had it for GSP. There have been way worse robberies in the UFC. How many years was he in the UFC? How many defenses, fights etc? Defend against rightful challengers? Thats all he did his entire career. 1 fight He goes up a weightclass aginst a weaker champ and wins then retires. Good for him to go out like that.
