All Time GOAT poll

Then* Also you can't cheat if you don't get tested.
Oh no a typo on the internet while I was on my phone! Good thing you were there to catch it. doesn't seem petty at all! Anyways your point is stupid as well and has been refuted hundreds of times.

1. If you're in an organization where they specifically spell out in the rules that peds aren't prohibited and won't be tested for, taking them wouldn't be cheating. That's a really simple point that you guys get hung up on for some reason.

2. Even if you use that logic, there's no proof that Fedor used steroids. Merely fighting in pride isn't proof that every single fighter in that org was on peds.

He tested positive when he was coming back from that leg break. If he was a serial cheater it would be another story

The yakuza were likely not only turning a blind eye to peds in pride, but were supplying their fighters with them..
Yeah if you guys want to use that fanboy cope excuse bs that's on you. It's been pointed out many, many, many, many times that the ped he got busted for would in no way help to heal a broken leg. It actually lowers bone density.

So yet again, no, coming back from an injury is in no way a valid excuse for that ped bust. It was also the first time he was randomly tested but I'm sure you think that's a coincidence too lmao.

Pride literally told fighters to get on juice...

Yes, correct, at THAT time. An earlier time in MMA where most fighters were one dimensional. Fedor was one of the only ones who was well rounded and he feasted on the former.

The fact is if you take that 9.5 year winning streak and take out all of the trashy fights against pro wrestlers, freakshows, MW's, rookies etc. you would find 10+ of those, and you can take 3 to 4 years out of that timeframe and Fedor would barely have a half a decade of winning against one dimensional HW's.

Impressive for the time, but not a P4P GOAT or even HW GOAT. Silva, GSP and many others could have reigned 10+ years too with that level of opposition. Khabib essentially has the same type of padded record as Fedor but nobody serious ranks him #1.

The outdated "10 year-30 fights unbeaten" claim is so full of holes and easily dismissed, only on sherdog does it still hold up.
yes, at that time. his time. therefore, the GOAT.

How does that make GSP better than those guys just because he retired on top? Quitting makes you better than someone who keeps fighting??? Fedor and Anderson could have retired on top too but they kept fighting and taking the risk until someone finally ended their title reigns. GSP retired at 32 with less than 30 fights. Fedor and Anderson are warriors and fought into their mid 40's. Why would we punish Fedor and Anderson for still wanting to be competitive even after old age and serious mileage? I respect that more than a guy who quit right after he was gifted a controversial decision victory.
Anderson is a cheat. Fedor fought freakshows in Pride. Fedor didn't quit? I thought he tapped to Werdum. He also got koed by a middleweight and got embarrassed by Bader. I have alot more respect for someone who knows when to quit. Instead of getting shit kicked at the end of their career

Between the 2, who has the better resumé/claim?

Usman has 5 defenses, Volkanovski has 4. I think Volkanovski has a better resumé though. Holloway is a better win than anyone Usman ever beat and Volkanovski has a win over Aldo (the current consensus FW GOAT) something Usman does not have, despite him constantly declaring himself the WW GOAT. Volkanovski lost to Makhachev and Usman lost to Leon, although Volkanovski's was up a weight class. Usman has more finishes and definitive finishes in title fights (Volk couldn't finish Ortega). I think if I had to I'd lean Volk, just because he has better wins even if they're not as dominant. What do you think?

Volk has beaten aldo and holloway 3x, compared to Usman who never got to face off against divisional goat gsp

It’s still much harder to achieve division goat for welterweight while featherweight is within reach for Volk (imo he already achieved it)

Usman’s record is currently a tiny bit more impressive, Volk probably shouldn’t have fought Max thricely

However, Volks career is advancing more…nicely

Volk needs 4 top ten ranked wins at Featherweight to tie Aldo.
https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/...-top-10-ranked-wins-at-featherweight.4149123/

Usman needs 8 top ten ranked wins at Welterweight to tie GSP.

Therefore, Volk is closer to being the FW GOAT than Usman is to being the WW GOAT.

Marty Fake Newsman got slept so bad that he doesn't even remember what happened. gOATanovski reigns supreme over the cosmic council with Colby Chaos and Johnny bones

Pride literally told fighters to get on juice...
Right so again, if you're fighting somewhere where peds aren't against the rules, then how is that cheating. And again, the fact that peds were allowed is not blanket proof that every single pride fighter was on peds.

But then if they continued fighting after pride and never failed a test that's apparently not proof they never cheated either. So everything is somehow evidence they cheated and nothing can possibly prove they didn't using that logic. Pretty unfair.

Now OTOH if you sign a contract saying you can't use roids? And guys come to your house to test you to make sure you're not on them? And you cheat your ass off trying to dishonestly pass the test.and still get caught? Yeah that's cheating.

I kind of soured a little bit on GSP when he went after Bisping
Just seems like he took the easiest path, and I always thought he was cute concerned about his legacy which meant he ended up almost picking fights he knew he could win or playing it safe
IF JJ owns HW...I have to give it to him...but calling out old Stipe...and what if thats how he wants to end it? sort of the same thing...but...GSP and JJ...Fedor...and Cain...are all up there. People can argue all they want...
