He slipped on his foot that he planted to land the LH kick. So it must've been why it didn't connect like usual TS

Fedor had CC fighting on the back foot, CC doesn't like being walked down as he's usually doing the stalking.

He could setup his kicks in the Wand fight.

You can see by Fedors head he doesnt really get the jolt from the kick like Wand. An inch or two lower and that kick might have ended the fight.

Yeah this was back when Fedor was in his purime and not a one dimensional head hunting brawler. He trained in Holland with the top kickboxers back then, dudes like Ernesto Hoost whose one of the GOAT kickboxers always gushed about Fedors skill and technique in the standup and how it was on level with the top K1 guys back when K1 meant something

people say this, but he was patient against arlovski. Rogers he took down in the first minute (first real opportunity), and then again a minute and a half later in the round (rogers has bad balance when not pressing against the cage). He was not just a sloppy brawler in that fight either, despite what gets posted a lot. He lost top control going for a sub. he can't be called a sloppy brawler against werdum. he took bigfoot down in the first round. and alot of the hendo fight was against the cage.

well, he took cro cop down for almost half the fight....same with semmy and he didn't just stand with hunt either.

come one now, dc is twice as thick as fedor. if dc could cut down to 205, fedor could'v cut down to 185 easy. The thing is, Fedor is not a wrassler, he never cut a pound in his life. DIdn't want to, didn't need to. He had gigantic ballls.

well fedor was on queer street with a strike less powerful from fujita's hook. some strikes just hit the right spot. other stronger shots don't.

CroCop beat the living shit out of Wand that night. Utterly broke him in 10 minutes.

Fedor is just Fedor. Can't explain that guy.

Fujita hit like a sledgehammer when he connected. Sloppy technique but power without end. In a league of tough people Fujita stood out as being extremely tough. That Wand destroyed Fujita was a big accomplishment.

That was prime Fedor, the guy didn't know how to lose back then.
I was impressed with Mirko, he took several hooks to the chin in this fight and was hot phased at all.
This still might be the best HW MMA fight of all time.
