All that hype behind Kron Gracie was ridiculous

Kron shows up for the biggest fight of his life with 1999 striking and no takedown game whatsoever, then tries to pull guard half a dozen times in the year of fucking 2019. So stupid.
Seriously, the guy hadn't beat anyone worth a shit and some people were expecting a future contender of him, like, who exactly he fought prior to this? Alex .500 Caceres? The ghost of Kawajiri? Come on, ONE's Christian Lee is 21 years old and has much better wins already.
At this point, it's fair to say he was totally exposed as a hype job. 31 years old and was turned into a walking punching bag by a shot Swanson. And he thinks he won the fight, delusional as it gets.

Look, Kron isn't even the best Gracie in the sport. Neiman Gracie is younger, more committed, has takedowns in his game and his striking is levels above Kron's. They aren't in the same league.
Neiman was competitive with Rory (lost 48-47, fair enough) and beat D1 wrestling sensation Ed Ruth. Kron sucks and it's a shame he gets more of a media push because of his dad.

I thought he did pretty well personally. People act like he totally sucked. Yea, he can work on his TDs, but he was landing some punches, came forward the whole time. He was fighting a top tier fighter and he is quite green.

I think the reaction came from the fact that people bought into the hype too much and then were disappointed.

Swanson is a volume striker who decisions people, if he was fighting an unranked puncher like Dawodu, Yusuff or Sheymon Moraes he would have been slept

He had no business fighting anyone decent

Swanson is so pillow fisted that fighters with less than half his abilities on the feet are able to go the distance with him

throw Kron with someone actually dangerous with some pop behind his punches and it ends terrible for him with that Gracie 1999 game

Agree that Cub was too much for the guy's 6th fight. Poor matchmaking. He showed toughness and managed to go the distance.

The criticisms of Gracie's striking are warranted. He has a lot of work to do.

For a guy that was 5-0 he did a pretty good job on his feet being a BJJ guy and managed to land a lot of strikes and bust up Cubs face.

Not the best gameplan and needs wrestling but he did OK considering how the fight went down.

Neiman incorporated wrestling and striking, he's a complete fighter. Highly recommend watching his fight with Ed Ruth if you didn't already. He did great against Rory too.

Wasn't close, not at all. Swanson pieced him up and barely got hit clean in the first 2 rounds. Like i said, Kron is lucky he wasn't fighting a puncher, that high guard walk forward shit is going to get him hurt.
