It has nothing to do with WHO committed the action. I look at why the action was committed.
You don't just say a murder is a murder. We ask what were the circumstances of that murder in order to determine the appropriate punishment, if any, is needed for the murderer.

I had no issue with the rightwing protests in Michigan over the lockdowns because their reasons were legitimate. Forcing businesses to shut down while not giving people a way to feed their families is wrong. That is a legitimate issue.
I didn't give a shit if the protesters were left or right. I care about why they are doing what they are doing.

i support BLM's cause. i mean, i think generally speaking, most Americans agree that folks of all colors should be treated the same by the police (who are an extension of government).

i used to own an office in downtown Charlotte. during the BLM protests a few years back, the bar next door to my office was ransacked by the rioters - windows smashed and looted. my fantasy was that the Charlotte Meck police dept would have intervened in the most extreme way possible.

i support the right of folks who felt the election was stolen to protest, march and hold their rallies. i think they're misguided, but i support their right to be misguided.

i also feel that every traitor who broke into the Capital building should have been dealt with in the most extreme way possible.

i shed zero tears for Ashli Babbitt - a traitor to the country and an embarrassment to the US military which she served for over a decade.
