TS listed them by tittle defenses so dont thank for Franklin top5.

Rich was very good, definitely elite in his time, but not really the best at any point.

There was a smal MW circuit in UFC, not because there werent top fighters of MW size.
When Franklin fought the trully best in Machida, Silva or Belfort, he got outclassed. Hendo and Okami took him to close dec. And Tanner might be his best win at MW.

Both Belfort and Henderon beat Silva's best wins in each other and Rich Franklin and would've been heavily favoured over any other MW tittle contender of that era. What if Anderson didnt exist.

Been meaning to go back and rewatch that one. I remember thinking Ace had done enough to get the nod but either way it was a very close fight. Would have been interesting to see them go 5 rounds.

Agreed. You can say Hendo and Silva deserved the win in their humble opinnion but if the majority disagrees with you then it aint a robbery.

It sucks, but it’s not really a defense if the title isn’t at stake. No matter what happened, the belt was going home with Anderson, so he unfortunately wasn’t really defending anything.

In Oliveira’s case, the challenger made weight. And actually IIRC they stripped him, so it was vacant and Gaethje had the opportunity to win it, as he made contracted weight.

As for ts list its a good one. Im not sure about DDPs reign BUT if he retains the belt against Izzy, gets the rematch against Sean and then drops the belt to someone good, lets say Conor and he goes up in the list. Maybe top three even.
