Justice and emotional satisfaction don’t go hand in hand. People need to get their whiny feelings in check. Sound like bullied teenagers looking for revenge.

Except there was no justice. He filed a false police report about a staged hate crime, wasted a ton of police time and money, was ready to throw ANYONE under the bus that they arrested, managed to get his show canceled putting tons of people out of work, and was hit with a small fine and a 'Sorry this didnt work out' by the prosecution.

Justice will be served when he serves real time behind bars, or the people that worked behind the scenes to protect him do. Falsifying an incident like this is disgusting, and him using his fame and connections to prevent being punished for it is almost as bad.

Heads should roll for this shit, and hopefully soon they will.

Okay.

I agree with your first sentence.

There was justice?

Damn straight, sans your bullied teenagers attempted slur.
Fuck that racist queen trying to paint a false narrative and get innocent people arrested and others hurt in retaliation or whatever. And fuck that Kim Foxx dude, too.

Why are we still talking about this?

Dude used his black privilege. It's over, let it go.

Not sure if you saw a page back but thread was bumped because a special prosecutor was appointed and case reopened

For whatever? It was to line his pockets.

It looks like it got merged and burried into this thread. The case being reopened seems thread worthy imo.

Let’s be real here, this isn’t a major crime and he shouldn’t get life. I think a year and a conviction on his record is probably about right

More then anything I just want him to admit it. If he won’t then having to get dragged through A trial works too. Either way him walking around dissing Chicago pd, claiming innocence and his supporters living with their head in the sand talking innocent gibberish just doesn’t feel like a good conclusion too all this.

It's cute people still think anything is actually going to come of this. Oh he'll like have to be a heavier fine but he's got the appropriate connections to insure he's very likely not going to suffer any sort of jail time or potentially even have any sort of formal mark against him. About the most I expect is a bigger outlying of cash and a drubbing of his reputation which will go away rather quickly after a year or two.

Oh I missed that, thanks!

True. I just meant he didn't care if a couple white guys went to jail or innocent people were attacked in the streets with MAGA hats on, no matter. As long as it worked out for him. As a matter of fact, if it had worked out for him, he KNEW these things would happen and was fine with it.

I'm more interested in them uncovering corruption with the Chicago legal system, than I am for any punishment for Smollett. I mean, when you bend over backwards to save some actor from what might've been some community service and parole at worst(he was never going to prison over this), you know some shady back door dealings went down. My question is why, and for whom did they do this for, because they sure as fuck didn't bury this in a blatant disregard for due process, to protect some c-list actor.
