His tenuous political ties allowed him to walk free and I'm thinking some of the people who overreached to help out (lol.. Kim Foxx & Tina Tchen) may be regretting now.

Sure, but the celebrating that went on was far beyond just his family and friends.

Oh yes, the incident was co-opted for a variety of reasons. African American vs Racism, African American vs Law Enforcement, Gay vs Non-Gay, etc... I imagine just about every camp on the Left was looking for a dog in that hunt. Wipe away all of that noise though and it was still just a "normal" instance of money and power doing what money and power often does...manipulate justice in their favor.

How disgraceful it is that, once the facts became clear, all of them disappeared behind the "We need to wait for the facts to come out."
